Does MTCS still require employees to be Church of Christ members? Or, have they laxed on that policy?

Because Dickson pleaded and begged to get out of the Williamson County Region. They will at least have a fighters chance in this region.
Maybe it was Williamson County who begged & pleaded for TSSAA to take Dickson away? With their rich history of competing in Montgmery County for years, It would have made sense to go to Montgomery County. Not sure how they ended up in this region.

Didn't even know they kept up with a stat like that.

What are your thoughts on the new Region 6 6A. Cane Ridge, Antioch, Overton, McGavock, Dickson County, Smyrna & LaVergne.

I will take Davidson County 35 & Dickson County East 14

Beech is the victim of rezoning, they got a lot of the Station Camp kids and that’s why Station Camp went to 5A. When the new school is built, they will drop back down.
New School? Do tell

No. It just creates an uneven number of schools per class.
TSSAA should keep the number at 49, even with schools electing to play up in class.

If I left someone out, let me know:
Teams moving up to 6A - Gallatin, Beech, Mo East, West Creek, Summit, Shelbyville, Clarksville
Teams moving down to 5A - Mo West, McMinn, Heritage, Ooltewah, Wilson Central, Station Camp, Mt. Juliet, Memphis Central
Teams moving up to 5A - Portland, White Co, Spring Hill, West Ridge (new school), Springfield, Nolensville, Howard
Teams moving down to 4A - Soddy-Daisy, South Doyle, Volunteer
With South Doyle moving down, it'll be interesting to see what Fulton, Seymour, Carter, and Gibbs decide to do this time around. I could see them staying put this time.
I guess I should have said who is electing to move up? Sorry for the clerical error.

Let's hear it. Who is moving up? 49 in each class. Will it stay at 49 or will it become unbalanced when schools declare to move up?

is this still open
From the looks of their '20 results to date, it appears to still be open.

Would love to see Brentwood vs Oakland happen this Friday... both have openings.

Who ya got? Ravenwood is coming off 3 straight losses and Dickson is winless at this point. Region 6 5A matchup.

Who ya got?

If it is the national team that comes to Ravenwood, it will be as bad as IMG decides to make it.

That is very strange. I hope everybody gets well and returns quickly. Why does a middle school staffer have to do with high school football players?
If I had to take a wild stab at this, I would say since it is a small private school with k-12 in same building, contact tracing could be a culprit?

You are probably right but we always play Fairview tough. I expect a good game!
It will definitely be a good game. Great non region matchup. Fairview is just solid and probably better up front this year.

I guess l should have mentioned the specific situation l have a question about. Two players transfer and a coach from their former team is now one of their coaches at their new team. Is this a violation of the player following a coach rule?
Yes. But if the kids actually moved into the school zone, that may trump the coach/player relationship rule. Needs to be clarified.

Does anyone know how to correctly interpret this rule. What are the exceptions to this rule? I might figure that it is not hard and fast because T$$AA is weak and they pick and choose how they enforce their rules.
I hate it when a private school guy is from and lives in a neighboring county and raids the area of kids and they follow said coach to the neighboring private school in another county.

Could Creek Wood be better than they were in 2019? Good opening win over 6A Dickson County on the road.

new director, from what I gather, is making life miserable for everyone at the school. Delays in hiring, won't make decisions....etc
That should not have a bearing on what football does, unless of course the delay in hiring is of assistant coaches. In general, bad leadership leads to misery, especially in education, but coaches are equipped to handle that and convey the "me against the world" attitude.

Station camp goes above .500 this year book it. The community does not understand how much previous coaching held team back record wise for the last 5 years. Brent has came in and done an absolute phenomenal job and is finally putting the players in a position to win.
I had no idea Coach Alexander had already coached a game or had a full Spring Practice at Station Camp to determine if he has put team in position to win. He must be working wonders.
Any Good Coaching Rumors

OK, I get it Hartsfield is from Lawrence County and Mt Pleasant is closer to home. But, leave Blackman for Mt Pleasant? Unless there is more to it than that?
