Had an interesting conversation this week with a lifelong GC fan. The problems on the mountain run deep. May not be fixable. Good luck to my friends in GC. Good luck to the Pirates in the playoffs. Again, limit the penalties and you should do fine. As for the other garbage that's going on... When the arrests are made everyone will know, be it SP students or MC students. Regardless who it is, they should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. I agree that roughing the kicker was an undisciplined play. At that point I think you should be playing punt safe and not even trying to go for the block. That was a back breaker in my opinion. Jujuan was going to get his yds and he made some good runs. The fumble return and roughing were two mistakes by us that hurt us.

Don't tell me to shut my pie hole! What was written on the Old SP gym years ago? I guarantee you that it wasn't even close to being as vulgar as what was written and drawn on our field house. Tell her sister you don't believe it.., As is the case in any game judgement calls go against both teams. The coaches were told by the officiating crew before the game that they were going to be calling it tight because of the rivalry factor. Didn't want the game getting out of hand from an emotional standpoint. I saw calls go both ways that normally would have been "no calls"... However, you can't honestly say that the fumble recovery and roughing the kicker plays weren't crucial in the game. The fumble happened right after Lankfords great 65 yd run for TD. The roughing play happened with SP clinging to a 4 point lead and being stopped. The punt was blown dead at our 35 yd line but instead of it being 1st and 10 us it was Pirate ball. Y'all scored on that drive. In the way football talking heads look at things that's a 28 point swing (14 that y'all got and 14 that we didn't) because of those two plays. Could have made the game more interesting at the end. But what do I know? I'm just a basketball guy.

I agree whoever painted it should be held accountable and I assure you at least 3 current SP students are involved. It was not a 3rd party but we'll see after the arrests are made.

It was a great game. We as fans knew going in that we had to play mistake free football to win. The fumble return for TD and roughing the kicker were two mistakes that really hurt our chances. SP has a good team and should do well in the playoffs. They need to reduce the penalties though in my opinion.

Let's talk about class here for a bit. I didn't see a coach refuse to shake hands and if it happened it shouldn't have. Coaches should always shake hands no matter what. Just my opinion. Now, let's really talk about class.... The vandalizing of our field house by SP students showed a lot of class right. Some of the things that were written on there were very vulgar and went way beyond just spray paint on brick walls. The police know who did it I just hope that they are arrested so that everyone knows who was involved and what they did. Now, let's reallytalk about class.... Someone, anyone, from SP please tell me where the class was with the sign your students had talking about Kennedy. That's a very courageous young lady who died a horrible, painful death and your students seem tithing it's ok to make a sign about it... I'm calling you out Geno, BlackPearl, Old Pirate, or any other Pirate poster that talks trash about Marion County... Let's hear you explain where the class is there.

Did you really watch the game? Only in it early? Really? It was a four point game when we roughed the kicker on a punt that was blown dead around around our 35 yd line. Would have had good field position and momentum. SP scored and that was the turning point of the game. 18 point win for the Pirates but don't act like it was an easy blowout. You know differently.

Good game. Congrats to SP. Wasn't the blowout that most SP posters thought it would be.

Don't have a problem multiplying... It's the adding and subracting that got me this week.

Top 5 excuses given by SP posters if Marion wins this game.... # 5. SP wasn't focused and overlook the weaker Marion Co team. # 4. It rained and the field was wet. # 3. Marion has practiced for SP since week 0. # 2. We are a lil school from down the road. # 1. Referees took it from us. I will say this... if Marion does win this game Geno, Old Pie Rat, Legit, RLH, Black Pearl and some others will have to placed on suicide watch..

You just sound like a parent of a kid who didn't get the playing time that you thought he/she deserved...

For those of you who are just joining this thread, I'll give you a summary so that you don't have to read all 51 pages.... What I have learned..... 1. Marion hasn't played anyone. 2. Marion isn't very good. 3. The majority of SP posters think it's going to be a blowout like the last few years. 4. South Pitt is a Sr heavy team and Marion is a Jr led squad. 5. Majority on both sides agree that Marion will be better next year. 6. South Pitt hasn't completely solved the "attitude" problem from early in the season, just able to work around it. 7. There will be 5 billion people either at the game or watching on tv. 8. Roy still spends way too much time at Red Eye Ronnies. 9. Old Pie Rat has lost his touch at cage rattling. 10. Mr Ambassador and Geno don't like each other very much. 11. New math hasn't caught on yet at SPHS. 12. SP posters think Marion is a one-trick pony team. 13. The history of Pryor Institute, MCHS, SPHS and that school across the road has been thoroughly rehashed. 14. The quality of opponents for Marion during their time in 3A has been verified via stolen copies of Roy's magazines. 15. I'm pretty sure that if you are within 50 yards of Geno he can stick an arrow through your eyeball with no effort at all. That about does it for now....

Yeah... Those recruits at ND will be a tough match up for GC... I bet if those Bryant boys had the ability to recruit players and have the churches pay for players to attend they wouldn't be having all these disgruntled fans on here talking about firing them... Just my opinion.

Also, I think someone posted that tickets are on sale at all bank branches in Jasper... don't know if SP banks are selling them or not... Maybe someone from down there will know...

On a side note... since this is the first year of this four year cycle, maybe the T$$AA will move all privates to D-II before the next reclassification and we won't have to worry about multipliers and who goes where...
