I saw some footage online tonight and Peabody has a very fast team. They have some nice looking athletes. Marion will have to play well to bring home the gold.

No doubt both teams will have to play hard with heart all 4 qtrs to come out on top!

It's going to be a great game with emotions high and low as it rolls on. It will be remembered by many!

I think the factor that Trenton has in their favor is their balance. They can run it with the best of them if needed( ask us!). Johnson(#8) is an outstanding back and capable of 200 yards. Malone can get as many as needed in the ground then you have to deal with their air attack. It isn't as polished as TCA's air attack but if Malone is on target....look out. He has a cannon arm and the receivers are super fast. Only knock on their receivers is that they don't run good crisp routes, they rely on their athleticism but hey, it has worked so far. Peabodys defense is above average but it isn't a shutout type defense. It's plenty good to win the Gold Ball with their explosive offense. I have been pretty spot on with my predictions thus far.......Peabody by 14. Bring it home boys! You deserve it with the teams you had to beat! Toughest road to Cookeville was Trenton's road.

Thank you for believing in us. It's hard to really discuss games like this without having any common opponents, so it's nice to have teams that know us that can give such an insightful perspective! Peabody is still building our program/history in a sense. We don't have the big history like say Milan, but we're working on that. It will take us a while no doubt to build our name up to a well known program. I honestly don't think there are many Peabody folks that follow these boards just yet. MC definitely has a big following on here, so I appreciate and respect your opinion coming from such a GREAT team in your supporting of us. We appreciate it!

I'm a stang fan but saw both games vs tca and aville and trenton win was Not lucy; they won out right and no you wouldnt beat them 5 times out of ten, you aville fans lost and you still puffing your chest boasting. I've not seen the speed and athLetic ability of trenton, outside of Alcoa every year and the dominant group of last two years UC. Trenton only issue is turnovers which has been limited in the playoffs. Trenton Coach is top notch, should be coach of year, I've witnessed 3, 2nd half adjusments-dominations, hunt, tca, and aville. Aville was classless with the obvious bounty out on #7 head. Should have ejected three diff aville players. This is high-school kids, no big tuition paid for no payroll. Just kids and that was embarrassing for any level football. And yes that was the most awesome kick return I've seen at any level. Good luck and pray for injury free tide win representing west tenn.

Being Peabody has a coach who won 5 straight state championships and won 75 games in a row at one point, I think he can handle the Ross factor. It's the Zeman factor I am not sure the can handle.

Yep! He lead a nationally ranked 5A South Panola, MS team to the state championship 5 years in a row coming away with 4 gold balls..... This is his 2nd year with us, and he's brought us to the Dance.

Don't discount our guys though. You never know who the star players will be. The talent is spread across the team. Coach Woods knows when to let each player shine. It may be a rushing game, possible passing, possibly both! They have the talent where it's needed.

Is Peabody another private school?

No. It's the public school for Trenton.

I'm not so sure about that. The adjustment that Ross makes at halftime of games is impressive. The Ross Factor is hard to prepare for as everyone has witnessed this season.

Judging by our 2nd half numbers, I'd say Coach Woods also makes necessary adjustments during halftime that has explosive results as well!

I'm curious, because we have quite a legendary Coach ourselves with Coach Ricky Woods.

I'm gonna do it again even though it's gonna hurt. Roll Tide Roll. Now I need to brush my teeth and gargle. Come on Peabody get it done. I can say Roll Tide only when I am rooting for Trenton. Man I want our district to have two state champions so bad that I could crap a turtle. Pulling for the Tide. Let's go.

I have a hard time saying it too! I love the Vols! Also, I'm not originally fromTrenton. I guess you can say I married into it, but I'm not complaining! However here it might be easier to say Roll Golden Tide Roll! I have my tickets bought for next Saturday, and I can't wait!

Every game I've watch of Peabody has been different strategies...  I have to assume that Coach Woods is tailoring each game to each team.  One game might have more running plays.... Another might have more passing.... Some might have a little of both. Almost all of which have been successful.  It goes to show that Coach Woods' experience shines through each win Peabody gains.   

If you don't believe that Coach Woods has what it takes, then you ought to do a simple google search of "Ricky Woods South Panola Mississippi".     Read the history, then you will understand the coaching knowledge/skill that Coach Woods has.  A 74-1 record isn't shear luck, location or chance.  4 State Championships of a nationally ranked team isn't just luck...  It's no fluke!  Coach Woods is an awesome coach!  I'm looking forward to the game Friday!
