Why yes you did. Honestly the outcome is exactly what I'd expect when a very talented 2A school plays what is truly a mediocre talented 1A sized school.

You realize Peabody is one of the smallest 2A schools there are, don’t you? It’s not like we’re a huge school by any means.  2A is 376-556.  Our school enrollment at the time of the most recent classifications was 389.   The multiplier on privates was there for a reason.   TCA has been playing well as of late, so I wouldn’t start with the excuses now.

I'm picking up on that sarcasm....smh....  You got me a cell number for your Coach yet?  Dude avoids social media like the plague...  I can't fine him on Twitter, Facebook or any other network.

He’s under a self imposed social media ban due to calling an incoming freshman parents meeting a “signing” night or something along those lines.    It was all in good fun, but someone complained.  The Jackson Sun reported on it back in February of this year if you want to read the full story on that.  That’s why you can’t find anything on him.  You may be better off reaching out via email or maybe reach out to the Peabody Football fb page.  The owner of that may could help you out.

I think 40 times are overrated. It’s not that often in a football game where you actually run a straight line path with no defenders around you. Not to mention you are running in pads. Having said that, Peabody I think definitely has the fastest team in the west in 2A. Now whether or not they have a handful of guys running 4.5s is something I don’t know about. What I do know is that it will be a great atmosphere come Friday night given that it’s Peabody’s homecoming, GC is 5-1, Peabody is 6-0, & it’s a rivalry game. These schools are just 6 miles apart so I expect a lot of people to come out & support both teams. I’m looking forward to seeing the final score in this.

    Agreed!

I heard that after the game tonight Trenton did not do the traditional line of handshakes with opponents. And quite a few Dresden fans are irate. BUT here is something to think about... honestly.. Peabody isn't a "bad boys, thug"  team nor do they currently have a coaching staff who is teaching or condoning such. And they are the #1 team in 2A for a reason. Soooo, the $64,000 question is, WHY would the Tide do such an act? What made them take this unnatural, not-like-them attitude? I wonder what 'their' side of this is, & their view is?

Coach would not let them.  It wasn’t because he wanted them to appear unsportsmanlike.  He wanted to protect them against anything happening that would reflect worse on us than not shaking their hand.  Emotions were running high.  I have a good feeling more was said and done on that field than any of us spectators could know.   So Coach told them they were going to stay on the field until Dresden got on their bus and left.   If an all out brawl happened on the field, it wouldn’t just be Dresden’s name that was run through the mud, Peabody’s would too.

  5. What I have a problem with is the Dresden player doing a late hit on Baugus after he already threw the ball.... then turning to the Dresden sidelines and giving a thumbs up.  Really? That’s not necessary! I hope we keep pounding it to them.  I have zero sympathy for mess like that.
