  1. Here’s a bright idea. Don’t kick it to him. If you can’t kick it in the end zone every single time, pooch kick it to the short sideline. 20 yards of field position is better than giving up a TD. Bad coaching decision.
  2. I’ll just say this. Scott West had no issues putting together a flawless, professional broadcast on NFHS. Throughout the season and the playoffs, they always had a good broadcast. And he did it with himself and a bunch of students. If they wanted to do it, they would. Simple as that.
  3. Yikes. I'm not familiar with the current principal, and a lot of the administration is either gone or retired since I was there. But it's obvious they don't care too much about promoting football and sports. The game broadcasts can bring a lot of positive attention, advertising opportunities, great experience for students looking to get into that field, I could go on and on. And it doesn't have to be a complicated setup. Just give me a wide shot camera angle, a closeup, a scoreboard, and announcers. That's literally all they need for a solid game broadcast, and they refuse to do it. It blows my mind.
  4. You really never know. It says it's going to be broadcast by BC on NFHS, but we'll see. I know Maryville won't be doing one. They haven't even had a broadcast the last couple of home games. And the one they did recently, maybe the Farragut game if I'm remembering right, it was so glitchy I couldn't stand to watch it. But don't get me started on that. It's a shame.
  5. That's what I'm afraid of. It's currently listed to be broadcast by BC on NFHS, but you really never know.
  6. Unfortunately, work is going to keep me from making the trip down for this one. Gonna have to try and catch it on NFHS or the BC broadcast. Wish I could be there.
  7. Not sure where you’re getting that information. Because it’s not true.
  8. Really solid effort all around. Good to see them bounce back tonight after coming out flat last week. Great to see LaDue get more touches. Gonna need a great effort next week to beat Bradley Central, but if they play like they did tonight on both sides of the ball, they’ll have a real chance.
  9. It blows my mind how vanilla the offense is nowadays. It’s easy to figure out. That’s a huge reason why the offense has not been scoring very many points most games. It’s head scratching for sure. I don’t get it.
  10. Always tough to win on the road in the playoffs. Going to be a tough game. Let's hope the Maryville team that beat Cleveland and Alcoa shows up. If not, they'll be going home with a first round loss since when, the early 90s? Crazy to even think about this possibility, but its very real.
  11. This is just a guess and I know nothing about his health. But I suspect they’ve been bringing him along slow and trying to save him for the playoffs. I’m hoping we see at least 15 touches from him next week.
  12. Yeah TSSAA has had an officiating problem for years and nothing is ever done about it. There’s no accountability whatsoever.
  13. I do agree it’s always tough to replace that many seniors, and these kids have played hard all year no matter the circumstances. My issue is that last year they had all those seniors and still struggled to go 7-3. The product in the field has consistently diminished over the last 2+ years. Maryville is not contending for championships, much less winning their own region. Talent can come and go and always will, but the coaching, preparation, and game planning has always been what Maryville hangs its hat on. Not saying they’re all bad coaches by any stretch. They have a really good core no doubt. But the HC needs to make some changes this off-season if they want to play for championships again anytime soon. The schemes they’re running the last couple of years compared to what they were running when he first took over and they were winning or competing for championships, is night and day. And not in a good way.
  14. The old rhino was unstoppable. I miss a lot of the old schemes. Shotgun split back used to be a staple in their offense. Never see it anymore.
  15. Just a really bad loss. Offensive gameplan was really bad. 10 points against this team that’s given up 30 and 40 points night in night out is awful. I know they shortened the game running the ball, but it’s still unacceptable. Maryville played right into their game plan all night instead of playing its own game. Farragut oline dominated and Maryville never made any defensive adjustments. Once again, this coaching staff did a poor job putting the kids in a position to succeed tonight. That’s become a pattern the last couple years.
  16. What’s funny is when you hit send on this you really thought you nailed it.
  17. The fact this thread is still going and the complaining and excuses are still at full force, just shows how much it eats at Alcoa that Maryville has completely dominated this series. I love it.
  18. Love this. Couldn't agree with this more. Maryville will always be superior.
  19. Good stuff, Stars. Great win and awesome to see Ladue back out there. Even though Jones made a couple mistakes tonight, he’s a stud. He’s very calm and collected at all times, and seems really poised out there. Really excited about his future.
  20. What a game. That’s what this rivalry should be. Incredible team effort tonight. Defense made big plays all night, and the offensive line pushed Alcoa around most of the night. Just a great win to keep the momentum going.
  21. Yeah that was bad. Just gave away points there.
  22. No one needs to prove anything to keyboard warriors like you. Thanks though.
  23. You’re delusional. Good luck tonight.
  24. Not sure you want to start that conversation. Anyways, think I’m done with this pointless conversation. It’s like trying to talk to a wall. Hoping for a great game tonight.
