We have played both teams and i would say that Page has the edge here, just my opinion from having watch them both play~ should be a great matchup though!

Huge District game between two bitter rivals that are struggling right now, who takes this game??

Looks like Columbia and Page have solidified the top 2 in the standings so far that leaves two more spots for 4 teams that are struggling! Who claims those last 2 spots between Nolensville, Spring Hill, Franklin County and Spring Hill??

Refs were not needed last night, dominating performance by Columbia! Woke up in the middle of the night still hearing the stadium announcer screaming at me! LOL

I cant ever confidently pick Franklin County to ever win at Columbia, i have witnessed easily 4 of the top 5 worst officiating performances i have ever seen at that stadium and i have watched ALOT of High School Football games!

FC has a massive injury list, 4 out of 5 starting lineman are healing up, i believe he is going to take advantage of an extra week to heal before district play starts!

Tough to call this game? Most of the writers are picking CC, Thoughts? Projections?

AD is stepping down today, new AD is being announced~ don't know which Juniors left the program, the same core that were there last year are still there absent an offensive lineman who is at Tullahoma because parent teaches there now

not real sure what to expect this year/ There is some good Junior talent on this team for sure, lost a few kids to Tullahoma but i am hopeful for a good season!

Franklin County and Shelbyville were both released from post season suspensions, FC added Tracy Hayworth this year as DL and Asst Head Coach

Both sides say the other started it, the game was chippy from the kickoff, Shelbyville incurred 3 unsportsmanlike penalties leading up to the "brawl" tempers were lost on both sides for sure, the incident that started the helmet being pulled off the Shelbyville player has not been shown and could not be seen on home sidelines because it happened on the FC sideline~ still no excuse for players on both sides! A FC player suffered broken ribs while being kicked on the ground, none of that was mentioned yesterday. The fact that Shelbyville is moving up to 6A and out of FC district means they will not be playing each other in the future. The blame game is useless from either side no matter the standings some kids made some huge mistakes that night and TSSAA is going with precedent from past fights in giving out punishment. FC is mainly a sophomore team so they did lose alot in this situation, hopefully both teams can persuade the TSSAA to drop the 2nd year ban next year

Lincoln County Facebook page said they were going to playoffs due to this situation so I am assuming they plan on playing!

I take it by this post that Shelbyville got the same playoff ban that FC did (if they had beaten Page) obviously this was a hit for the Golden Eagles since they were already in!

5 seniors and 4 underclassmen suspended Friday night vs Page, refs called out 3 last Friday so the team self imposed suspensions on 6 others

Prime example is Dekalb County who is a strong contender in 4A who had a team outbreak and shut down for 2 weeks, unfortunately this includes the first round of the playoffs! Shelbyville returns to play 1 week later with 16 quarantined? Must be a county by county decision??

i have heard all week that Shelbyville had 16 in quarantine and has forfeited the game the week before, they obviously had a team Covid problem, why was the game even played? I would believe that when the FC coaching staff found out they had 16 in quarantine they had the same questions, that could have possibly be why there seemed to be some anger issues during the entire game that brewed up into the scuffle, just my opinion....

The game is at Franklin County but correct FC will have to pull the upset to get into the playoffs, Last playoff spot is between FC, Columbia, and Lincoln County if all 3 lose this week Columbia will get in with most total wins FC vs Page Shelbyville vs Columbia Lincoln County Covid forfeit

There are no excuses that is true. The kid that was on top of the FC lineman had his face mask and was banging his head up and down on the field, this was happening on the FC side of the field so unless you were on the sidelines you could not see that. That is why the kid who was pancaked got upset and pulled his helmet off, then all heck broke loose. No excuse for it but that little piece of info has been left out of the conversation. I am sure that was not noticed from the pressbox or the home stands but that is what started the whole melee with plenty of blame on both sides

No coach was arrested, the coach that was escorted never left the sidelines!

I have video of the incident but not posting yet due to a player who was injured in the fight. After TSSAA reviews the incident this week and makes a decision on suspensions I am sure you will see more videos come out
