By that being said. Sounds like the seeding criteria is screwed up. Or that happened because Wilson didn't win his region?

So the rest of the kids 2-4 just get thrown in the bracket where ever they land. No seeding for them at all?

Ive heard two diff opinions yesterday. Just curious Cobra becaue I don't know how they seed at state. I thought if you place the yr before or win your region you get seeded. Do they not seed the other wrestlers? But you said that Titus and Wilson won' get seeded. Not sure about Titus last yr but didn't Wilson place last yr so does that give him a seed for this yr.

I would have loved to see the matches also. I know my boys strugled all day. The flu has hammered all these teams the last few weeks. Guess the coaches felt it was best to save the kids for State. I didn' ask for an answer. This is merely speculation fooseball.

We battled injuries and the flu yesterday. Roberts pinned Titus at regions. So that match could have gone either way.

We should look back at the region results and see if we can come up with the 3rd and 4th place kids that you speak of, what do you think?

No idea T. You do have a legitimate point. Just saying I'm sure it's happened before. Is it fair or unfair. Guess that depends on who you ask. Doesn't seem fair to me that you wrestle 6 times verses 4 to win state. Everyone has an opinion and I'm no expert. Not sure how to fix it either. I do know Ga has multiple state champions and all those schools we've wrestled are tough. One thing for sure TSSAA isn't going to welcome change. Maybe there just turning a blind eye to change or just motivated by what's best for TSSAA and not so much the kids.

Not sure how much it happens. But there are cases where the 3rd or 4th place kid ends up on top of the podium. I also see the point being made.

Haha, Sorry DaBears. Its probably best i hold off on any predictions. I know one team very well plus I have two wrestling. But that' just me. I just find everyone's opinions interesting. 

Not sure about this. But didn't Coach Henry, maybe some others try to get a similar format yrs ago?

Anyone else have any predictions besides DaBears? 

Good luck with that. Just saying it would probably take yrs to get TSSAA just to consider it.

Wow, quit right before regions/state. Doesn't make sense. He must have been the better wrestler than Perez as he was varsity most or all of the yr.

I keep watching the video over and over. It looks as if one ref is focusing on the BW guy for the pin and turns his focus on Wilson as the other ref gets in position as if he is looking for the def pin. The BW kid looks pinned at this point. But cant see it in the video. Wilson also looks pinned unfortunately.  Yes it was a tough loss as he was dominating the match. I look for him to be on the podium next weekend.

I'm glad you were there to see and not just making accusations based on what someone else said. I also was even in disbelief as the ref raised the other kids hand. Then realized what had just happened. Tony is a very good wrestler and I'm sure that match will stick in his head like glue. Hopefully he won't make that mistake again.

What happen to the Bradley 106 I beleive Wilson?

Wilson pinned him at SD vs Cleveland and beat him in OT at regions.

Looking like region 4 is getting hammered with the flu bug. School closings, entire teams or half with the virus. I hope everyone is healthy enough for Saturday. 

What was the reason behind the AAA,A-AA and D2 split?
