I believe the middle school football in the area was strong this past season. If you give Jeff Tomlinson 2 years the football program at Dickson County High School is going to look totally different.
Another major factor that nobody is talking about is the region schedule. I mean no disrespect to the Cougars current region foes but for several years they were playing in a region against the likes of Brentwood, Ravenwood, Independence, Franklin, Centennial, and now the region also includes Summit and very soon will probably include Nolensville & Page. Dickson County didn't have a prayer in that region. It was like Coffee County trying to play in the Rutherford County region during those years.
IDC who the coach is. Dickson does not pump out the same type of athletes like the teams they play in that region. I know the coach has tied there but there’s no way someone with his success the last few years should’ve taken that job.

With Montgomery Centrals HC leaving for Dickson County, there’s now three HC openings in Montgomery County.
Central is a much better program then it was ten years ago, Northeast always has great athletes, West Creek has decent talent but will be a hard team to win with in 6a.
I know CMCSS is not the first choice for most coach’s, but is there any rumor's who get’s these jobs?Have they even started interviewing at any of these jobs yet?
-
Just a hard job! From what I heard they lose a lot of kids to creek wood
-
Dustin Brady at Lebanon has to be on that list.
-
I’ve heard that this job is now open, any truth to this?
-
I have a lot of respect for the PC coaches but the offensive playing calling is off tonight.
-
Taking Springfield in a close one tonight but it’s hard to bet against HC! Either way like I said before HC was going to be who they truly are by they time district kicks in. Perks of playing a tough schedule.

I’m hearing former Rossview Coach Ron Lambert could be the top choice for this job.

it's not just a fb issue there at wc.
What are the other issues?

Not sure what the issue is at West Creek, but I know they have players in that building. Every school in CMCSS has players. They probably should be more successful than they have been, regardless who is coaching them. CMCSS is known across the state as a system that puts very little support into their athletic programs. That must change, for all CMCSS schools.
I wouldn't say they all have players because there is a big talent difference when it comes to Northeast, Rossview and Clarksville and the other schools. Also from what I hear Rossview and Clarksville have money steady pouring their programs and the others don't. I personally don't know what direction these schools will go with the HC openings but hopefully it's someone who can come and change the culture there.

West Creek is open and this has to be one of the worst jobs in the state in a tough region. Who goes after this?

Any names being mentioned for the Clarksville NE job?
Heard they reached out to an up and coming young coach but got turned down.

I coached in Clarksville or against them for over 20 years. A team may have a little success. It doesn’t last long. There will be another coach who stepped down it just hasn’t been announced yet.
Yep heard the same thing. It'll prolly be around next week before it's officially annouced.

Exactly. A player should have 5-6 seasons under their belt before freshmen year.
Yeah from my understanding the school system doesn't want to be responsible for any cost the associated with the middle school youth sports.

Does Rutherford county have middle school football? From what I understand Clarksville doesn’t. It’s hard to compete like that.
They have middle school football but it’s not associated with the schools. More like JR pro

Probably can say the same about most schools in Montgomery County
There’s no reason this county shouldn’t be like Rutherford county in sports

I’m hearing some guys around the area want that job.

No, if he had D1 talent I trust things would work out...
Exactly! I know a kid from middle Tennessee area who team went 0-10 his senior year. But he’ll be suiting up for the NY Giants in a few hours! If you’re good enough they’ll find you!

Great idea from a Tennessee Powerhouse program.
Great idea but the program is nowhere near a powerhouse.

Glad you got your popcorn out. Now my "predictions" might can be throwed in the trash. I trust those guys to make something happen. Should be interesting to say the least
Still think you're going to have make one guy the play caller. Play calling is an art and you can't have two different guys calling the game because the feel and setting up certain things will be different.

At the end of the day High school, College and NFL coaches based off wins and losses. Yes molding young men is the most important factor but in reality if you aren’t winning you’re not sustaining a successful program but when you coach you understand that!
Montgomery County Opening's.
in Class 5A & Class 6A

Not to say you’re information is wrong but where do you see an advertisement for that. Also what former HC?
