Grandma from Heaven looking down at the field to see if that gulley washer rain this past weekend sent to make a dent on that paint that some are claiming washes off of turf. Nope looks like Krylon Tough Coat.

LMBO. I must've misread. I thought you meant a practice field. That was done on turf? Yeesh

You have no idea what you’re talking about.  They said that about McKenzie this past season too.  Also, had McKenzie been in 2A this past season, they would have won the gold ball. Period!

If you think McKenzie could've beat Riverside I have a bridge you might like to buy.

Have no problem if they want to use the football field but dang get a professional painter that knows what he's doing , not something that looks like Box Car Willie stopped by overnight to spray yellow graffiti on the field. if this was grass it would be no big deal but this is a synthetic football field someone painted.

Get yallselves one of them fancy robots that paint the field. If little ole West Carroll can afford one shouldn't even put a dent in Maryvilles wallet

Based on their past 30 years of talent but not this group’s

Eh even the last 10-15 years Huntingdon has had way more talent imo. Don't get me wrong there will always be talent over there but I think many have a dated view of them. Milan hasn't been the Milan everyone remembers since South Gibson opened and Peabody put those major investments into their athletics

True. However, the sad thing is the administration in small schools seem to spendy money on everything but athletics. I know it's definitely a choice. Lake county's high school football field hasn't had any major upgrades since the last concession stand was built in the mid 1990s. Horrible sound system, death cable still intact around the field. At the same time the high school and middle school basketball courts have been replaced and refinished multiple times. I just don't understand it when football is our cash cow here.

That's a fair point. Were the same way. But let's be honest if a HC is that desired and a small school increases their offer a bigger school can still do the same. A small schools best bet is if they can hire an alumnus who loves the area

Was going to let this one fade away with time because it doesn't really matter, but after a week...

Not going to display the details on here, but I can tell you Reitz, that your sources failed you on this one. Some I know and some just rumors, but most of your info is off.

Not going to pretend I'm Adam Schefter or anything but the people I've talked to about it pretty much said the opposite of Reitz comment as well.

    Mr. Williamson,

We know that you are enjoying your retirement and free time after a long and grueling NFL career. We know that you are pursuing various business ventures in West TN. We also know that you are already working as a position coach at a school that is 15 minutes from us, but strangely not at your alma mater (but no hard feelings, right?)

How would you like to give all that up and come work for perhaps the most unrealistic and disgruntled fanbases west of the TN river? We are sure that that the high level of stress and pressure this opportunity will bring will pale in comparison to the pride and joy you will bring to our Milan community (until you lose too many games). We are looking forward to celebrating your return (and then calling for your firing after you drop the week 9 game to Peabody.)

    Warm Regards,

    Milan Booster Club

Honestly, he probably would in a second if offered. He loves Milan. He loves Milan Football.

Different perspective. Behind every coach is a human being. Sometimes people have to make difficult choices in life knowing that their decision will make a profound impact in the lives of others. Say a coach is interested in being closer to family, but their name is leaked and they do not get the job. Not only do they have the potential embarrassment of not getting the job, you put their players and colleagues through unnecessary stress.

Let's put it in a different perspective since Lake County Football has apparently joined the echelon of NFL Live. What if expecting parents were waiting to reveal gender and a physician went out and told everyone before they had the opportunity? I am assuming most in here would think that would be appropriate.

Those are incomparable circumstances in my opinion but I get where you're coming from. I just disagree, respectfully. The way I see it..  If you're paid with public dollars, then you can't get sore when the public has an interest in where their money is going. Not even considering a players and parents vested interest in the situation.

  9. Ok I'll bite and put in my two cents. If a coach doesn't want their name put out that they're applying for another job, dont apply for the job. You're a football coach in the South. Basically a public figure. I don't see why one would apply for a job in secret unless they're trying to keep players at school A because you're not sure about school B. A la having your cake and eating it too

Is there something i’m missing here ? Lexington is a great job … but leaving Milan is highly questionable unless i’m missing something here

That was my first thought. Gotta be something behind the scenes we're not in the loop on

Camden could have been in the running last year if they had any defense. Apart from Huntingdon, Milan, and Riverside, they played really well on offense, but their defense gave away too many games. @Beagle How many of those kids are they returning for next season?

I don't think they lose too much. When we played I don't remember seeing many seniors starters. I know #7 was a junior. He'll keep that offense going for sure no matter what they decide to run.

As expected, Clay Mcmackins was announced as the next head coach of Hollow Rock Bruceton Central today . Previously he served as TEs and special teams coach at Fairmount University and TE/QB/OC at Emory and Henry before that .. not a terrible resume for a long lost perineal power . If he doesn’t get them winning in the next two years this is probably the last rodeo for this program. They’ve got a talented FR and SO class, probably as talented as they will ever have again as they all seem to be going to Huntingdon now so this hire was crucial . I really hope they support the young man ,he’s got some potential and kids love him .

Seems like the best hire a small school in their position could make. I agree their freshman and sophomore class has talent and could make some noise. #9 ran about as hard as anyone I saw WC play last year and #6 was very athletic. Best bet would probably be to build around those 2 especially with them being young

Not surprised  with this call. Josh Wolfe is a proven winner and keeps coming is Second?   Makes sense to someone who doesn't know football I guess.

Camden haters rejoice we did it again:lol:

I was surprised when I saw the announcement and it wasn't Josh. Seemed like a perfect fit.

It's only been a stepping stone because the coaches that are being hired cant seem to cut the umbilical cord from the coaches they're accustomed to. I questioned the Canada hire because everybody knows he's committed to pucket it's understandable. I wasn't a fan of the quinn hire. That's why I think it's best to have a committee conduct interviews instead of one person make the decision. I,along with alot falcon Nation, want something new. Lets look at things through someone else's eyes for a change.

It will likely remain a stepping stone in the current environment. That's not a dig a LC either that's basically every 1A school outside of South Pitt and McKenzie maybe a few others. We simply can't offer the pay to compete with bigger schools.

Swenson will sure as heck run his star QB in the  ground though and give him knee problems in the process. Seem like he would want someone to get them tough yards besides his star QB but that’s always been his way as HC .

It just made no sense to me. Mainly because #13 was on the roster. Probably more healthy than he ever was and he got like 2 carries all year. Would've been right up there with Desmond Thomas as far as power backs but no, he played DE all year instead
