  1. I talked to an old fisherman that knows his fishing and he says the Tullahoma Wildcats are looking pretty good in the 7 on 7 passing tournaments.

Best of luck to Coach Olive and the Wildcats; I hope they get back to winning.

Rumors are flying that the Patriots maybe getting too big for 4 A football; the school is growing and the recruiting is paying off in the number of kids out for football. I also hear that they are trying to settle in on a QB but the new kid from Summit may have to sit out a year.

Spring Hill ( as Forrest Gump would say) is like a box of chocolates you never know what you are going to get. They could content for 2nd or might be at the bottom of the Region.

I saw Page in a spring scrimmage and their o-line needs a little help..... Team they played put a lot of pressure on the QB .... the kid from Summit who's father just happened to land the QB coach position on the staff is a good athlete and I don't think this year he would be in the QB hunt but would expect that to be different next year..... If he can play this season I would look for him to challenge for a DB position ....

  2. I think I may know who you are TGUN. Actually know your father in law better from when he was at Fairview (that tells you how old I am...lol). I still service that area. Should be a fun game in week 1. Tha Raiders are a coming!!!!

BHWM- I know who you are talking about and have much respect for him.... But he's not my father in law.... Gonna be a good game .... 8/19's going to be here pretty fast..... Remember to bring your change!

  3. Look for Summit to be pretty good this year. Tons of returning starters. Coleman may have something.

FA.... I've watching them for 3 yrs going into 4 ...... And may just have a player that is very dear to me:):):):) who is a senior.... They have done a great job (staff).... Great group of young men who put the team before themselves...

They will hold their own and make it very hard for teams to beat them.....

  4. I am probably alone in this thinking ,but I am not a believer or fan of 7 on 7. It has some value I guess, but it is not football. Neither is P.E football.

RTB.... I hear what you are saying .....

    With the following caveat....

HS team 7v7 is IMO much more beneficial than the league type 7v7 and here is why.... HS team 7v7 is a team event with the brothers that these boys will be sharing the field with over the next 4-5 months.... League 7v7 is an individual event where in all reality there is not a team cohesiveness ... And that is a concern... And yes my son has seen the field on both and did not care for the league stuff..... It's also an opportunity for teams to see other teams that they would never step on the field with.... 4A vs 6A etc.... Also HS 7v7's tournaments are managed better than the league tournaments,,

Granted no one is a bigger proponent of strapping on the gear and letting the boys roll vs the shorts t-shirt "non-contact" events than me.... But again the team piece

makes these events a little more valuable than other 7v7 efforts and it also help the hosting team better their program through the team entry fee's...

    Soapbox done...

  5. Prolly last, but I guess that is to be expected seeing as we were there last year. The people who make polls usually dont put much thinking into them, they just base their picks off of the previous year.

Supposedly it's the coaches who make the polls.... Anyone else think so?

  6. Before you lash out I was joking. Although after week 1 I do hope they do well!

Not going to lash out at anything..... your comment is what it is..... Summit will be better than they were last year that is for sure.... returning 13 seniors / and a talented group of juniors who just might know how to play the game.... as apposed to last years squad in which 5 seniors were on the team and 1 started....

Regarding their defense..... it will be pretty good..... the D Coordinator is as good as anyone's in the region.....

They don't belong on the list........ but the Doormat days / check the win column automatically when you see Summit on the schedule are over........

  7. If you don't have anything postive to say then take ur comments and shove'em.... I don't know Tee nor the high school but if the young man wants to go to Clemson and by the time the season is over all works out with the

Scholarship.... Then good for him and the school....
