Friday schedule: Smith travels to DeKalb, be hard for DeKalb to pull the upset now, with Harpole out with a broke leg. Hate it for that kid and his teammates. I say Smith wins big. Upperman travels to Cannon. Bees better be ready, Cannon about got them last time, almost beat Smith and just won at York. They are playing better. LA hosts York. this will be a good game, I think LA wins in a close one. Magnet travels to Macon. Magnet not playing well as of late and Macon playing better. Look for Macon to win big.

York too much for DeKalb. Livingston should win a close game. Smith can win big or I can see this one being close. Upperman wins by 10+.

Both of those teams are very good. It would be tough for 8AA to win on the road I think, I believe they could get the home game though. Who knows who it will be. Really going to depend on who is playing their best at the right time. 8AA has about 4 teams that could potentially be in the substate games.

Upperman wins over York, LA beats Dekalb by 18, SC wins big over Magnet, Macon holds on over Cannon. Looks like LA and Smith are tied for first at 6-2. York, Upperman, and Macon tied at 5-3, Central in sixth at 4-4, DC 1-7, and CC 0-8.

Hard to find a clear cut top 3 when the current top 3 are 5-2 and the the next 3 are 4-3. The next few games might help put some distance between teams or just clutter it up even worse. I see your point ref83, if you are the 1 seed you would like a tune up game and would think you could get past the 8. Rest could help or hurt the 1. Time will tell. And I agree, anyone of the top 6 could potentially win the tournament. Still nice knowing you are automatically in the region.

What a night for sure. Standings should look like this: 1 - Smith County (5-2) 1 - York (5-2) 1 - LA (5-2) 4 - Upperman (4-3) 4 - Macon County (4-3) 4 - Central (4-3) 7 - DeKalb County (1-6) 8 - Cannon County (0-7) Tie breakers will be interesting. It is going to be tough for any team to distance themselves from the rest of the pack. The 1st place team gets a bye in the district tournament this year, that will be huge!

Upperman over Cannon 62-60. Martin hits a 3 to put CC ahead with 2 seconds left and then Guffey hits a 3 to win it for the Bees. Central over Macon 52-35, York over LA 68-54, and Smith over DeKalb 48-34.

Good job to the Dragons for their tournament championship, represented 8AA well in east TN. How did the Bees do in Lenoir City?

Upperman beat Alcoa to win their division in the KSA tournament in Orlando. Bees are playing good ball right now.

Smith beat Warren 71-62

90warrior, I believe it was 75-65 Bradley Central. Smith led most of the game. Bradley has a couple good shooters. Heard Smith's book keeper say Bradley only missed 3 shots the whole second half??? Looks like Greenville is going to move on to play Bradley Central.

Scott Moore is now the coach of the girls program at SC. Let's look at the games for tonight... LA at Magnet, I like LA in this one. Magnet is much improved but will be hard to beat the wildcats. DeKalb at York. York should roll. Cannon at Smith. Smith should win but I think Cannon plays hard and can keep it close. Upperman plays Macon. If Macon plays zone, the Bees could light the scoreboard up. Macon's size could give the Bees problems. This would be the game to watch tonight IMO.

I agree with the 3 teams you mentioned Shozen, but I wouldn't leave York out yet. Blevins makes them a tough out. He did have 42 at SC, but in a losing effort... Upperman has a tough week ahead of them, with York and Macon County. Smith County has Magnet and Cannon County, would like to think they should win both of those. York plays Upperman and DeKalb County. Livingston plays DeKalb and Magnet. Should come away with two wins. Cannon just plays Smith County this week. Macon just plays Upperman. Should be an interesting week in 8AA, what does everyone think?

I'll take Cannon, LA in the upset, Smith, and Upperman. I just wonder how Tays being out will affect the Dragons... Magnet looks much improved but still probably don't have enough fire power to beat the Lions.

#23 for SC is Camron Huff. Whited and Cade Crossland for WC are very nice players. Whited had 30+ I believe. Fresh also had several.

Smith Co. played White Co. very good up until the mid way part of the 4th quarter. Was up 60-55 to start the 4th and White Co. hit 7 3's in the 4th. Smith was also playing their second game of the night and looked tired. White Co. can flat shoot the ball. they will be fun group to watch this year. Smith Co. shot the ball pretty good also, they may be able to make a run at the 8AA crown this year if stay healthy. White Co should take 6AAA I would think.
