I’ll be honest. Moog doesn’t look like the same back after the knee surgery and that may be an unpopular opinion amongst Mav fans but I’ve seen it happen before where that specific injury takes a step away from a kid

he looks impressive. those throws were not. he ran back to one of them.
They do have another WR that looks pretty good as well which helps carry the load but that’s it for BC. I’d let Boo run the ball and throw it to the other kid so they can have some kind of run game to play in their region play

Looks like the Bears more than held their own against defending D2-AAA State Champs Baylor.
It’s the Boo Carter show… kid is an electric player but terrible attitude. What’s funny to me is when you watch the BC coaching staff. You would have thought they reinvented the wheel. Throw a key screen that goes for 60 and they will tell you that’s exactly how they drew it up

Sure.

West will be the better coached/prepared team as they have a better coaching staff by far. I see West getting creative in their defensive strategies and getting Jones to abandon the run early. From everything I have seen, beardens offense circles around the gallaton kid and when they can’t run it with him, they will try to include him in their pass game making them one dimensional giving West the advantage

Secret city has a nice home side. Visitor side blows. Only worse visiting side is Kingsport. Ron wright really should do better. Fort Craig’s visitor side isn’t much, but it is close to a concession stand with chikfila sandwiches and a lavatory to release the stream.
You all did pretty good against Fulton.

Cleveland has Baylor today at 6. Baylor is loaded again and one of the favorites to win it again. So this will be a huge measuring stick.
Are they streaming it ?

Could be the case but everyone else is doing it, this isn’t new . I could call out a bunch of schools. But these are todays times.
That’s the exact same quote Lowe used at Powell AFTER he forfeited 7 wins. It’s all what’s good for one is good for another until the TSSAA comes knocking. Punishment for coaching link is a post season ban. Maybe multiple years

Training and coaching are non affiliated I believe. I could be wrong but I’m not sure how that works
I think it clearly states in the handbook that if a person trains a kid, becomes a coach, and the kid then transfers to said school with new coach, it’s a link. But I’m sure they know that already

It’s no secret that Riggs Jr has a very large off season training programs in multiple cities within the state. Rumor is most of the move ins are because they trained with him?

Keep bringing them in Tygard!!!!!!!!!
I heard a lot of these kids trained personally with Riggs Jr in the summer and now that he is on staff, if true, wouldn’t that be a link?

Well I got lost but I'm back now.
Dragons are hosting CAK and Hardin Valley tomorrow night in a scrimmage. Don't think I'll be able to make it over there due to little league practice.
High expectations this year but I'm not holding my breath on anything.
Sounds like some Clinton faithful need to be a little bit more faithful. “Not holding my breath”? Not much confidence? Your teams needs you to be behind them d coat-a

What do you reckon they run now? Double eagle? The “mint” front?

I honestly don't know of any Powell booster who would put out money to buy a player.
Do I think they were looking for a deal?
Yeah.
But I don't think they found any takers to play that game. A previous relationship landed them at Powell.
Hump, Jones to name a few...

any word on if cleveland is going to run the same defense as they ran at Blackman?

Clinton better have a good secondary because Cleveland will throw it all over the place and they'll be uptempo doing it
Who does Cleveland scrimmage next week?
1 hour ago, fooseball95 said:Could be one of the more interesting games week 1. Cleveland and Clinton have a little history but not much. I was a member of the Cleveland championship teams in 1993-1995 and remember cleveland moved to the Knoxville region for 2 years. In 1993 we won 56-22 and again in 1994 18-15 on a tough one. In 2014 Clinton came to cleveland in the playoffs and lost in another tough game 10-7. Fast forward to 2023, cleveland has a whole new staff and HC. A lot of talent as always. Tygard will run an offense like Tennessee in a hurry up offense where he wants to run 100 plays a game. I hear Clinton could possibly make a run this year with some additions they and a lot of talent. I don’t know much about clinton anymore since we haven’t played in a while. Having said all of that I’ll give Clinton the edge being and home and Cleveland starting completely over and learning a new offense under a new coach. What are your thoughts?
Who does Cleveland scrimmage?

Reason I ask is I feel like teams will feel like if they can shut the run down, they can beat AC this year. I think we all know how important the run game is in high school ball so if AC struggles upfront, I cant see them making a deep run. Moog is great but he’s not Noe in the sense that Noe was going to get yards whether upfront blocked or not.
-
What, if anything, did AC lose in the trenches?

Did his family already move from Jeff Co? Surely Spencer will make sure the previous residence was vacated

Did the JCHS QB move into Anderson County? Heard he ditched Farragut for some GT money?

Sounds like the Mavs will have there work cut out for them. Playing (Clinton) Bearden to a 21-21 is no small feat. This will be a big cross town rival and the stadium will be packed.
I wonder who gets the start at AC this year? Maybe you have heard of how the competition is going between your son, I mean the upcoming freshman, and the kid that filled in when Martinez went down his junior year? Got to think the game experience at the high school level has to give the upperclassmen the nod at least to start out? Still to early?

I’d start looking for another weapon in the backfield if I’m Gilliam. Maybe that’s the Miller kid? Who was #5 last year for the Cows? That kid if he still around will help the herd
