  1. I believe I speak for everyone here when I say thank you to our Vets from the bottom of my heart for your service and sacrifice. We have the best Vets, don't we folks.

Praying for an injury-free game tonight against 2 great teams. Although, I wouldn't be mad if ya'lls noseguard wanted to sit this one out tonight! Here's to hoping we are able to give you guys a game this year

Couldn't agree with you more. We owe a lot to these men and women who have served.

Looking forward to good game tonight. This is what the playoffs are about.

  2. This is how it's done right here folks. The man has the opinion that privates should be together. There's nothing wrong with saying that. The TSSAA has even said it and it will be done next year.  The difference is they dont come in crying before durring and after the ballgame. Wayne County, Huntingdon, Union City, and Im sure Dresden as well line up and play till the final buzzer and are glad to play anyone.  I will be glad to be in D2 myself, but I can assure you, the competition will not be like it is in the west 1A. We know that we will have our hands full if we make it to WC. Classy post wildcat!

I got to get off of here. We are expecting clowns in the area tonight and I got to go get some shells.

You got clowns out in your neck of the woods too?

  3. Great quote on how effective any player can be even though it doesn't show up in the stat line. I wished more people understood this but TDs, INTs, etc. is what most people see and hear about. I am glad there are others that understand this and know it when they see it on the field. Those guys need an extra dose of kudos!

Well said. The game is won or lost up front in my opinion.

  4.

Heard today he would be out 4 weeks. Tough blow.

I also talked to Butch. He gave me a name that you could be and to be honest I don't remember it.

I'll see him again at church tomorrow.

Also, I don't know which kid is your son vut he has to ne a fine football player to play much for NCS.

They are just on another level

Thanks he played free safety, wideout and ran the fake punt.

  5. I wish NCS all the best but the crickets heard when asked to explain the meteoric rise to the top of 1A is deafening. There's really no debate to be had. That's why the publics dislike you guys.

Glad you guys are in D2 next year. Look forward to my school playing you again.

Not crickets, just at the field watching the boys compete. As to meteoric rise, Coaching makes a difference, commitment to the strength and conditioning program, what else is there to say. Make the kids believe and the rest will take care of itself. Success breeds success.

  6. That's funny. When I was in school, the folks that lived under the hill were Groundhogs and the people on top were Billy Goats. Lots of inter county rivalry.

I went to school with the Coach's uncle. He is a good Coach and good for the kids. Hated to see their QB (Jennings) go down with the knee injury a few weeks ago. Bright future in baseball with a 90+ mph fastball. He'll be back though. Ole Miss is lucky to get him.

  7. Being the dad of one of the players that came from BA in 8th grade, I can speak for our situation. We made the choice based on the character of the coaches represented at Nashville Christian. No one asked us to go there nor did anyone promise anything to us other than they would support us in making sure that he kept his grades up, give him the training that would give him the opportunity to succeed in both the classroom and on the field. I have had the pleasure of watching him grow up knowing that the Coaches cared not just about whether the kid was a good athlete, but making sure that he grew into a good person.

Regarding the move to DII. I am very pleased with this decision albeit I would have liked to see this happen sooner. I can tell you it is no fun for either Team when the scores are lopsided. Even though we have two losses this year, they were good games and fun to watch. Looking forward to the next three games as I expect them to be good games. Coming from a small school in Dekalb Co myself, I know that you can't underestimate a small rural school since they have heart. In the end, it is about the boys out there on the field regardless of public or private.
