I can comment that one of the coaches from WC pulled my son aside last night after the game and congratulated him on being one of the best players that he had coached against. Whether or not this is true or not, this is about building up young men after a loss and making them feel good about themselves and their futures. Win or lose this game is about the young men playing the game and making them better sons, fathers and citizens. My hat is off to WC and their coaching staff. These are the values that our own coaches at NCS embody and I appreciate this type of sportsmanship. Good luck to Wayne County as you move on hopefully to the title game. I for one will miss this true rivalry game as we move to a different division. It has been a good one for the last three years.

He is a Special Player. Talked to my son after the game and he also mentioned that he was a class act on the field. Look forward to seeing him play on Saturday's somewhere. Hopefully see him and my son square off again. #28.

These boys have all worked hard to get to this point. This game has been "The" game that the they have prepared for all year. Even last year when NCS won the State Title, this game was the best game from a pure spectator view of the year, I am sure that both teams are preparing for a battle. I personally love this. Win or lose, both team will leave it all on the field. My opinion is that the competition in 1A (West) football is what football is all about. (looks like there are some good schools coming up in the East so no disrespect). Small schools, athletes playing both ways, it doesn't get any better. May each Team play their best. But Go Eagles!

I haven't weighed in on this but will now. The "horse collar" was not a horse collar, after watching the film, he had the outside of the pads. In the moment from the stands I thought that it was a horse collar as well. The face mask was legit as his hand was all in the grill. Don't have to believe me, but the film doesn't lie.
