  1. Stewarts Creek & LaVergne will both be in the Super 32 (6A) when reclassification is done before the 2017.

Ravenwood will drop to 5A (Nolensville opening fall 2016)

Centennial which is on the cusp of 6A will remain in 5A. (Nolensville opening fall 2016)

I would be willing to bet Cain Ridge and Farragut both move to 6A in 2017.

  2. I don't know if it will change the dynamics much but may create another ravenwood down the road with all the growth in that area. There are 3000 homes being built now in the nolenville area alone and the area around ravenwood is absolutely booming with growth. The mature area is around BHS - south of Brentwood is booming .

I don't see the same thing happening in Williamson county as happened to riverdale in Murfreesboro - growth should feed the schools and the talent levels should stay very high. If anything the schools resemble maryville in many ways - they focus on education and have great fan and community support. Even Ravenwoods recent football teams reminds me of Maryville--

Nashville is booming - so is Williamson county so the schools here including BA will be a force in athletics for many years to come . The best days are ahead for Williamson county

Rutherford and Williamson County are growing at such a rate it's incredible for those of us who live here. While Williamson's growth rate percentage is a little higher than Rutherford's; Rutherford County is actually adding more people than Williamson.

LaVergne actually moved down to 5A during this period which allowed Maryville to move up. LaVergne along with Stewarts Creek will be 6A in the next classification as 2016-17 will be the first 4yr class of seniors at Stewarts Creek.

2019 will also see a new Rutherford County High school... Rockvale High in western Rutherford County. This will primarily pull kids from Blackman and Riverdale. There are also some rumors that 2A Eagleville will close the High School portion of the school and these kids will be shifted to Rockvale High in 2020.

Siegel High will see an addition in the next couple of years and will result in some kids being shifted from Oakland to Siegel.

  3. Ty Nix is the son of former South Carolina D coordinator Tyrone Nix. He plays DL. He's a beast.

    Not enough though

I think it will take a lot of intangibles to beat Maryville.

While Nix is good, the heart and soul of their defense is Junior LB, Jackson Cauthren who is the son of current Arkansas State Defensive Coordinator, Joe Cauthren.

  4. And we all know the Rutherford County Address Police as doing a bang up job enforcing that!!!

I know you better have an address in the zone which you are attending school... whether it's a legitimate is questionable. I know kids who play football at Oakland who don't live in zone, kids who play girl's basketball at Riverdale who don't live in zone and kids who play boy's basketball at Siegel who don't live in zone.

  5. Thats been the pattern for the past few years. The freshman team does well but something happens when they step up. Players who were starters as freshman seems to disappear and other drop off. It's directly related to the program or lack of. Maybe it's time to promote the freshman coach to head coach. Couldn't hurt.

I think McDaniel (did) and Creasy (now) will put the best 11 on the field. Kids develop differently.
