  1. you never surprise me. The haters mark themselves. I dont have any problem nor should I with anyone that supports their team or that doesnt like MARYVILLE, its not required. But as I said in previous post there are many out there that would like to see MARYVILLE loose just because it gives them a false feeling of victory.

I disagree I would like to see how that matchup versus a BA, Ensworth , Hoover or a Bowling Green would unfold, any football fan would love to see that matchup - also having lived in Tennessee and where my family still lives I would choose MHS over any out of state team , would support them against Ensworth (dislike Bowers) but root for BA

I mentioned before for what fun is it during the regular season sitting in the stands watching your teams starters pulled at halftime ?

Minus the exception of Alcoa game usually you are not tested until you make the semis ( this year not counting )

He is correct whenever someone says play one of the above teams a few get offended a few start spinning with the my kid can't miss a half day of school or too much money which is nonsense

Said before will say it again there is a reason why you don't play a private school and its bout losing...

  2.

No kidding. Ravenwood had the perfect chance last year. Doubt they get such a chance again.[/quote

Like I mentioned before don't count this team out nor compare to last years -

This years Defense is much better than last years

Most every game RW played this year I thought they would lose but Hester is a mini GQ where he takes the talent he has and makes them better and they are always prepared and execute well on all sides of the ball - they are a fundamentally sound team ( held Dahaven to 64 yards in 2nd half )

For RW to win Rowland will need to carry the team on his back and has done it all season

Will be much closer than some are expecting

MHS takes it but it will be earned

Also I'm sure MHS faithful will give props to Rowland , fun kid to watch play

  3. I've never seen indy play but according to everyone will be a huge favorite

With respect to SC yes Indy should be the big favorite coming in

Watched SC and your QB and it's a fun team a very good team but Indy is just that much better

Your looking at a team that is in top 15 in the Southeast via USA Today plus they had arguably the toughest road in the playoffs Cane Ridge , the 2nd ranked 5a team in State Hendersonville, what many called the State Championship game versus Hillsboro and then last week CHS

Exception of Boro all starters were pulled at half or 3rd quarter

I can say if you like passing this will be the game to see

  4. People who follow the team that they played for and the kids that they know that live in their community, that is pride in your program. That is what Pepvol is about. People who should be thanking their kids for their hard work and a good season and then moving on to supporting their basketball program but instead trolling on other teams thread is comical and the loser called mjgoldenbear. I can predict you in your mom's basement with your computer wishing you were ever part of building a real program like Pepvol did.

Agree with what you say but you forget some MHS faithful get on other threads and troll as well

Personally if I'm MHS why bother even responding and taking the bait like some do

You shouldn't have to respond your trophy case does all your talking

  5. You private school trolls better not rub the genie bottle to hard. You might just get what you're wishing for. You can't just put the genie back in the bottle. Just ask these 6A fans around the state. They made the same argument. I don't think Maryville would win every game against the privates, but they would win most of them. Although I wouldn't be shocked if they won them all.

With respect b/c they have earned it MHS but what fun is it winning all these games before halftime in the region ?

Last 5 years record and overall points for and against versus Alcoa?

When does MHS step up and agree to do a home and home versus a BA, MBA or Ensworth ?

Can assure you the privates would take it and few years back Ensworth wanted and MHS balked !

Like I said respect you at MHS your trophy case speaks for itself but there is a reason why NONE of you are calling for a MHS vs. Private School (thought the best wants to play the best?)

Don't spin it about money ( gate sales would set records ) don't spin it about missing a half day of school !

It's down to losing and they is why

  6. Not bashing at all because you are the best and your trophy case proves it but in an adult conversation is it fun going to games on Fridays anymore and watching the starters pulled after halftime ?

In your region games in last 3-5 years what was the closest anyone played you ?

Yes you face Alcoa but in 5 years what's the win / loss record against them and points for / against ?

Yes it's bout winning gold balls but don't you wanna face competition ?

Again this is not too debate your schedule just asking is it still fun on Friday nights during the season for fans ?

Best of luck and again congrats on a great season

  7.

they were again the better team that night..... No one on thy field could contain kerrick jones 1 on 1... Let's be real. Y'all double teamed him all night until the 4th.... 3 pass interference calls that weren't called. Defender never looked back on 2 of them.. And Hel his arm on one . No flag was thrown...... Kerrick broke for the ball on defense before the receiver even got out of his fought.. They threw the flag.......... Now can we agree?[/quote

Yep that better team of yours only gained 64 total yards in the second half

Yup you sure we're the better team

The better team of hanging up the gear for the season

  8. Here are my thoughts from being there:

Whitehaven just lost to a bunch of undersized kids with one main athlete who basically won the game for them. Ravenwood had virtually no run game all night except for a couple of plays and the Whitehaven front dominated. As for the Whitehaven offense it might be some of the worst play calls I've ever seen... You have huge receivers that can go up and get the ball and you didn't throw it to them? The run game gets stuffed and you don't adjust to and continue to get stuffed.. Also the penalties hurt them but in the end both of these teams were playing for 2nd place in 6A

    What are you talking bout

They got beat by a team

    Move on

Does not say much about DaHaven if 1 athlete beat them

    A better team beat them

A better coaching staff beat them

  9. DOES INDY HAVE A STUD QB LIKE DOLLYWOOD???

He is better then a stud

Keep in mind he missed 4 games

    Total Passing Yards 3004

    Passing TDs 36

    Passing Yards/Game 308

    Pass Completions 202

    Pass Attempts 299

    Interceptions 4

Throw in a 1,000 yard rusher and 4 star WR and 3 other receivers that are studies and you have Indys offense

The QB reads progressions better than any QB that played in a long time in middle Tennessee

    Defense had 44 sacks

Will be fun but too much firepower for Indy

  10. Look forward to seeing Indy next Friday .

Do catch them if you can

You will enjoy QB Bunch and that offense

Would have been fun Centennial beat Ravenwood earlier in the year

God luck to your boys next week predict another gold ball for MHS but pulling for the WilCo team ( RHS )

  11.

we actually have academics at Maryville. It is a money issue. And big question I'd Why do they have to? To prove it to you ?[/quote

Cmon that is nothing more than spin with your academics argument ? Guess Blackman should have not make the trip east last week because the team left in the morning ?

Wow wonder how the kids at university that play collegiate sports manage - your talking about a 1/2 day missed to play a BA or MBA, full day for Trinity .....

Money ? Again another spin and misconception , those schools that win and have booster support is not a issue when it comes to travel expenses

Plus you know home and home will bring a sellout crowd and then-some .....

I saw others from MHS post on here the support and turn out for games have not been the best ?

Is it a product of their own success and domination? What fun is it turning up every week knowing your gonna pull your starters at the half

    Exception Alcoa game .....

Again nothing but the most respect for the kids playing and the coaching staff - MHS is a machine ...........

Think any fan ( except those at MHS ) would love to see you play a BA or MBA even a Trinity or Hoover team - would that be fun , would that bring in a crowd , you bet it would !!!!!

Must be a reason you keep dodging those power house teams - heck I will start a go fund me page to raise gas money for the bus

Is it because the program may get dented if you lose to those teams ?

Winners and competitors want the best

Don't bother with the reply I already know the spin I already know the excuses

    Mic drops hits the floor

    Case closed

  12. a joke

If I was 6a coach that is a perineal power like MHS, Rutherford Co schools ( knowing you are in playoffs )

I'm scheduling BA, MBA , Ensworth , and all other top teams.

Why to see how my team stacks up and to play the best competition -

Don't tell me it's to rough to travel or costs money argument has no warrant

Heck I will start a go fund me page

  13. Actually the 2 TD passes were good throw and catch. The first one was a jump ball to a 6'4" receiver over a 5'7" CB. Guess who won?

The second one, if i remember correctly was between 2 defenders.

Those 2 plays accounted for 115 yards of the 215 total for the game.

    Thanks for clarifying

    That's a good mismatch at 6'4 versus 5'7

Just looked like both balls were thrown with a hope and a prayer

Didn't QB brother have 2 pick 6 as well ...

Will be tough for my Indy boys this week , as sure CHS will want some revenge from the drubbing in the season

Think the battle Boro gave Indy was good for them and still like our matchup passing the ball on the Cougars

Congrats on your season and hope one day we can get home and home against ya

  14. 66 Eye've seed plentee ov Okelund throwin' tha bawl.....Dumps and waggulls and verticull paisses two #7 and othurs....Uhgreed my soresees tell me thair tha best D inn RuCo and eye thaink thay mite bee evurbit az goodur az laist yeer.... :popcorneater:

That is good for OHS because if they were run heavy MHS would make it a very long night

Still will be a long night for Oakland but, hoping for that upset

Boro and Siegal I think put up 28 and 30 on Oakland after the loss to Hoover but thereafter the D got stingy and nasty
