Yes sir you're correct. Last year we had NO running game at all. Everyone knew that. Our RB went down to a groosome injury early in the year. We had to rely on Copeland to be our QB and RB. He did just that. He is a very good runner and very accurate in passing. Give him time to throw, he could knock a penny off a fence post 50 yards away. Hope both these kids makes a starting great career at their schools coming up.

It's so uncalled for,.. I watched the Copeland kids highlight today and he can sling it but the biggest thing I think that helps him is that every play I saw they were mostly 5 wide and empty back field so they definitely throw the rock around the lot

What's Does sequatchie do on the offensive side I've the ball? Are they wide open hurry up spread or are they ground and pound under center? Never seen them play so I'm curious

MBA and Ravenwood are also great places to watch a game and good facilities

Pretty sure he is a private guy and middle and west Tn guy at that. He most likely doesn't follow much east teams and players including Copeland. Even tho he is a UTC commint, he still has Baylor, Clemson, MTSU, Memphis, Miss st, Mizzou and a lot other to name calling. Including canceling an official visit to Bama.

 

The Science Hill coach stretched the truth a little when he said "Copeland was the best player in Tn" but he is right up there. He seems raw at times, but you can only teach so much at a high school level. With the right coaching, the future is bright for as far as Copeland can see.

 

Put him on that talented BA team or have a WR group like Oakland has and see what numbers he puts up. Those WR would love him and the defenses front 7s would hate him.

Saying best in state is one thing saying best in country is unrealistic. There's no possible way to know that. None. Even those McDonald all star teams and the like don't get all the best just what certain people think are the best. Not saying they aren't great just saying way to many still playing the game at that point.

It has noting to do with private Public.. Last year I thought Bunch was best qb in state and Independence is a public school.. Look at it this way Copeland has put up his numbers vs mediocre teams while Oatsvall has put his up vs the best the state and country for that matter have to offer... Not saying the Copeland kid isn't good but I can name a few not including Oatsvall who are better

Well it is here folks the 111 rivalry this Friday night.The Cookeville Cavaliers hosting the White County Warriors. If you're from either one of these areas you know that this is a big one for both teams! You have WCHS Warriors coming in with a 2-1 record, running the ball very well with their star running back Jake Shockey.On the other side of the county line there is the Cookeville Cavaliers 3-0 whith dominating defense who is gave up only 12 points in three games ,and their star running back Blake Ashburn. This should be one for the ages! The last time that the Warriors won was 3 years ago. This has been a one-sided rivalry with Cookeville dominating the series, but you never know in these sort of games.There's a different type of emotion. A different type of feeling in the air. Any thing could happen! With Cookeville Cavaliers struggling with penalties three weeks in a row, it worries me a little. Despite how fired up Sparta will be this will be a one-sided affair my guess 14-28 Cookeville in a hard-fought game. If you want to come out and see this one you better get your seat early this is always a big one for the ticket booth.
