Oakland had 1 lineman and that was jack jones BA has on offensive line that weights 280 across the board and 2 D1 starters and 1 D1 on the defensive line so try imagining that and that ensworth team ran a basic offense try imagining them vs BA with a QB who is excellent thrower and runner and them playing at a hurry up pace with the massive oline that can run block and pass protect and still having usually 3 to 5 insanely good we'd on the field at one time..

I think that yes maryville has improved but by far and away BA has improved on much more rapid scale and I ask the same for you: you might wanna check the addresses of those maryville players since they can play at maryville if their parents work in Blount Co due to a loophole in the ruling

for one maryville wouldn't have beat Trinity from Louisville or MBA. Secondly they probably wouldn't beat Baylor either and if they did it would be a tight ball game. Also if your referring to the 50-3 win against briarcrest BA had how is that any different than you all beating up on team in week 1 or 2 in the playoffs. The only teams maryville would for sure beat in D2 this season is father Ryan ensworth JP2 mccallie(maybe) and probably all of the west side

and scrimmages are good gauges for the season? If I recall both of those teams won state that season. This year maryville thumped ensworth and from there everyone knew ensworth would be down and maryville would be good. Oh yeah btw ensworth in its WORST SEASON EVER, still managed to beat the team playing in the 3A championship showing that teams that play weak competion will be hard pressed to beat a D2 squad

I don't think they need to switch leagues but just play an instate D2 team that's good or an out of state power house. I'll just say this for you guys, the ensworth team that that MURDERED MARYVILLE at tech in a scrimmage was blown out by BA 36-10 in regular season then beat BA in playoffs 21-12. This shows how the talent and coaching is better throughout that league

I was at this game and Malik Mcgue was single handily the best play maker BA has played in the last 5 yrs no question asked. Their offense was insane. What you failed to Mention though is the fact that the BA offense put up almost 700 yards on the “best science hill team ever" in one of BA “down" years. Also don't forget BA had a ton of their defensive starters missing and not to mention the QB who would have been best in the state last year. BA juts overlooked them some that's all that happened and combine that with turnovers it made for a tight game

Baylor got up big and rhea county scored on the backups.. Also it was the 1st game of a season with a new transfer QB on the road so it's a bit misleading

Or have you been watching your Dobyns Bennett go 1 and done or 2 and through in November every year😂😂 the D2 coaching is at a whole other level with many of those coaches playing in either the NFL or major college ball. Now yes it does help having athletes but to say that someone is a fool to pick against Maryville is probably the most ignorant thing I've ever seen.. This years BA and MBA's teams would beat them by 14+.. The coaching they have is amazing hence the reason D2 is the toughest region in the state because the teams are discipline and don't make mistakes

Webb is like a peewee team compared to the upper D2 group and if Maryville is so great and unbeatable, then play a high ranking out of state team or D2 2A team instead of beating up on weak regional opponents all regular season
