He went to Volunteer because he wouldn't get to play at D-B. Coach Ritz is just fine, I respect him and however long he wants to stay in the business is fine with me. He didn't become the most winningist coach in TN for no reason. Thirdly honorable mention is basically saying that a player should have had a better year than they had or was expected to have, they just came a little short. And until these young talented players prove themselves in real games, then you have really no way of backing up your opinion. AGAIN scrimmages do not mean anything, pitchers go for a couple of innings, batters are switched in and out, people are tried at different positions, they are the first games played since summer usually. There is no way scrimmages and be accounted for anything but just warming up to the regular season. Plowboy you obviously don't know what you think you know and I am no wondering if you are even for D-B and not just someone who poses as one and creates the real problems. Please people this is a place where I can argue anything I want, keep throwing stuff at me, but don't expect me to stop anytime soon. Elizabethton is a good team and should be they have 13 returning senors. good luck to them.

I'm just telling the truth....this is a D-B thread and if u want to post about how Volunteer will cause some upsets, and win games then start your own. Don't come on to a D-B thread and tell lies about how Volunteer has talent and then when I tell you the truth, then you wine about it. Matt Fleenor, is the #1 Varsity player this year for Volunteer...am I right? He has played Varsity now for how many years? I can recall at least 3 and yet he has not put up the numbers or shown the leadership. Who is to lead these so called talented players? Who is to set an example? Volunteer was 10-18 last year, in which they were better last year than this year....they had more senors and more expierence, so how can you start crap about me when I'm just comming from a logical stand point. And I do have the right to argue that point without anyone saying I'm just a rabbid fan who don't know anything. You come up with the facts and tell me how they can even possibly do it instead of telling to name 3 players that have talent....why don't YOU name 3. Might be kinda hard to do bud.

Volunteer is not talented like you say....they are young yes...but not talented I don't see an upset in sight. East and every other team in the conference does not have the pitching to win over a hitting team like D-B or Science Hill.

I don't forsee the conference to be tight, it should come down to Science Hill and D-B again this year.

The key to either winning or their downfall is bunting?? I totally disagree, hitting at critical times in big situations and of course consistant outings on the mound and throwing strikes I think are the keys. Dont get me wrong, bunting is a crucial part to the game, but not to the Indians, and not to a championship.
