441 rushing attempts? That's funny

#11 & #26 best backs we have faced this year........agree with you should have stayed with run
Hopefully we can have a similar run like you guys the next couple of years. 11 is a Jr. 26 is a sophomore

We moved the ball well on the ground and especially on the left side. Sometimes the play calling just doesnt make sense. One drive we marched down field on the ground to get in the red zone, and then for some reason felt we had to abandon the run. Very puzzling. We also have to find a way to keep our composure. When a player gets his feelings hurt because of what someone else does or says and gets backed up 15 yds, he's not caring about his team much. He did the same thing last week late in the game. We were in great shape at that time, but that selfish penalty, which backed us up to the 20 resulting in no points was a backbreaker. How control has not been taken over a situation like that is very frustrating to me.
Carguy, I couldn't agree more. We have to find a way to be more composed in the future. Our mistakes killed us against a team as prepared and well coached as WC. I thought we were prepared. We were in position to make plays against Rice but the guy just keep making plays.
Our best defense last night was the run game and we got away from that.

I think Brothers does a great job. Not saying that he doesn't. But put at least 6 or 7 of those throws in the hands of 11 and let's see what happens. I am of the belief that you put the ball in the hands of your playmakers. 11, 26, and 28.

I stated on another thread how play calling has been an issue for us at times. I am on the inside and maybe can't see the forest because of the trees. Just curious from the WC perspective, did you all feel like we got away from the run game and threw it way to much? I thought our backs were having success.
-
That play was unbelievable! The zebras were really and truly a non factor.
-
Hard fought game. Congratulations to WC. We certainly had our chances. Picked off Rice twice and hustle on special teams resulting in to WC mishaps on punts for a total of 4 TO and we come away with no points. That's tough but credit WC for not yielding anything.
Two terrible 15 yards penalties, one taking a TD off the board and one backing us up to the 20. Both were absolutely the correct calls. Again no points.
NCS had every chance to take control of the game but fate has something different in mind for this Wayne County bunch.
Must also say I am not sure why we tried to get in a shoot out when our run game was working and working darn well too. Don't know the final stats but sure seems like we had 2 backs over a 100.

Without a doubt this will be the best QB NCS has faced all year. I think the WC faithful will see the best RB'S you've seen all year. Should be fun watching great players play in such an important game
-
NCS only losing a 3 seniors that play a huge role. Have their core guys in take with all the playmaker returning and Lawless back for his senior year. NCS has to be #1
-
Who is that guy?
-
Was Laura or whoever a poster from last year?
-
He did leave the field but I haven't heard anything about a suspension? Any NCS folks can confirm? That would really blow
-
Didn't mean any disrespect towards your program. Ya'll have a very talented team that could very well take it all the way. But as a casual HS football fan with no dog in this fight, Winn against Rice is the more intriguing matchup imo.
However, I would not be disappointed to see all the athletes on the field for NC go against the many athletes that Dresden also has (no disrespect towards UC).
FB, none taken at all. Completely get what you are saying. WC folks have been very very classy. I know lots of people want to see that match up. I, of course, hope we spoil that and move on but it will be a tough test but one our boys welcome
-
Send the private university off where they belong! Hope WC beats NCU by 50!
Lol

Fb dive, not many people outside the NCS family are pulling for us. This time of year is great. All great teams left this time of year. So much fun to watch
-
Carguy, I mean the rest of the state. Seems to me outsiders don't give 1A football it's due. I know the NCS folks respect WC, HHS, Dresden and UC. We look forward to this game every year and I think so does WC. Hope we get a thriller
-
Looks like this game should be a war of wills. Wide open attack of WC vs. the ground game of NCS. I have been very impressed by the discipline of the LB from WC. Both defenses have played well. I see a lot of post about 3 TD victories, I just don't see it. I think this is quietly one of the best rivalries in the state. Should be an emotional, physical ball game as always.

007, maybe you should go to a class to learn the rules of HS football. Bottom line is this, HHS had a chance on 4th down to stop us on the drive, you didn't. You had a chance to knock down the pass, you didn't. Had a chance to convert extra points, you didn't. I am sure you will find a way to blame the refs for those plays too.
-
Big difference between sideline warning and sideline interference
-
I believe the top 8 from D2 A will go with top 1 teams having a bye. That's how the BA bracket is done now
-
007 you very clearly have no idea about the rules. That outlawed cut blocks 6 years ago.
-
HHS had a great season. The kids were very classy and respectful as they came off the field. I know it hurt but those kids were the best as they left the field. Better than I would have been for sure
-
Just check the stats
Penalties:
HHS 9
NCS 9
That sounds awfully on sided right?
Or should we not let the facts get in the way of a good story?

Did NCS really throw the ball 30 times? I saw that posted here
