  1. Horse, the PI called on HHS was a 2nd and 9 from the 19. PI is not automatic 1st in HS. Penalty marked off, making it 2nd and very short. We convert asking it 1st down. Clock stops
  2. The flag was for offensive face mask. TO on Downs. Our play was hit with unsportsmanlike and it was half the distance to the goal. 11 false started which made it 1st and 15 as it was half the distance to the goal. You can watch it again on NHFSNETWORK. I have a ton of respect for HHS, their system, their players and coaches. We made more plays tonight. No ref had anything to do with the TD passes we through or the score by our other RB for 60 yards. Correct?
  3. Our 11 did false start. It was flagged to start the drive. Our QB made a heads up play to get rid of the ball and we had a TE in the area, the ball made it back to the line of scrimmage. In HD, not a horse collar if you don't put the hand inside the shoulder pads. Clock stops on 1st Downs which I'm sure you know. I'm not knocking you guys. Those kids played hard. But to act like we didn't get any bad calls is a slap in the face. Our kids played hard as well. When it was 4th down on that drive and HHS needed a stop, you didn't get it. Just like when we had chances to get stops, we didn't. It was a great HS football game. One in which I wish wasn't a playoff game but it was.
  4. Alot of crying about the refs from some people pneumonia this board. What about HHS chop blocking our kids? They called a defensive PI on NCS when clearly, clearly the HHS player pushed our guy in the air. Multiple late hits on our QB, no call. HHS players grabbing lawless by the jewels. No mention of any of that by the HHS people. The sideline flag was for sideline interference. And that's the bottom line
  5. What are your best thoughts on the 2 new regions that will effect the Mid State?
  6. #34 is the NG. IMO, Crosby will come up with a good scheme to stop the run. I think he is one of the best defensive minds around. With the speed of HHS backs, will need a monster game from Sullivan and Watson (42) on the outside. Safeties will need to be disciplined and in the right spots when the passes are thrown. I think Howard and pick one and take it to the house.
  7. darn it Carguy!!!! Why did you bring up his Warbtitton!!! Why, why, why? I tried to block him from my memory!!!! That guy was a beast. But they would have beat us that night, just not as bad.
  8. Carguy, no agenda. My son used to play for NCS and lost to Hundington in the semi. Play calling has been an issue at times for NCS. I don't know what you don't understand about that. If NCS doesn't turn the ball over, MTCS is beat by 3 TD and nobody talks about us being flat.
  9. Friday night, NCS needs to only throw 6 passes max. Run the ball and it won't be close.
  10. Why not run the ball? Why not take a knee at the half? Bad play calling
  11. When NCS Coach calls a pass play that leads to a pick and runs an option that leads to a fumble, that's play calling. 10 point swing Carguy59
  12. What did missing Lawless have to do with the plays mentioned above? All good teams have nights like those. Great ones find ways to win them
  13. I don't think missing anyone hurt NCS in that game. Bad play call led to a pick, fumble on a punt by a great player trying to make a great play, bad play call to the short side of the field with 29 seconds in the half and 2 busted coverages. That's why MTCS game was close
  14. I am not really sure if anyone is looking at the stats of NCS offense, but are far from only having #11 on offensively. Heavy dose of the run game and timely play action passes, this game is decided mid way through the third.
