Tennessean just announced its Class AA AP polls - any thoughts on these rankings?

UPSET ALERT!  

A-lot of good teams played in Lebanon this weekend. York played really well and supposedly East Nashville knocked off Lebanon this weekend. Class AA is loaded with talented teams.

East Nashville is my favorite to win Class AA. The have a lot of talent coming back including Jalen Jones who is nationally ranked and will be a Mr. Basketball Finalist.

Hillsboro's football program is struggling badly. I hope that they can get back to the relevant program they've been in the past.  They have new sports facilities, a new school, and new coaching leadership. Hopefully the coach can use that -  to rebuild the football program!

York has a cake walk to regional finals (sub state)with a match up with Westmoreland in region finals to determine host or road sub state. York can win the Gold ball.

What makes you think York can win the “Gold Ball”? I know they’ve been talented in the past but could never get pass Upperman/Macon 

Westmoreland will be in the top 10 as well. They lost a lot, but have a really good guard and a very solid post player that will carry them. 
 

East Nashville will also be in the conversation. They played #1 ranked AAAA Beardon very close at MTSU camp.  

What is the issue at Riverdale, coaches are in and out of the place more than any other school in Murfreesboro! 

Who are their substate teams/opponents? 

Maplewood girls scored 92 points in their 1st game back lastnight. Wow! 

They were a top team in AA preseason with all 5 staters returning! Be on the look out.

Macon is an average team that has one very good player. Losing to Westmoreland was surprising to see. 
 

How is Macon I still ranked in the AP polls? 

Nashville sports are officially back and Maplewood is a top team in AA. They are most athletic & talented team in AA. Preseason ranked #3 in AA. 5 returning seniors  who will be hungry to prove their point this season. Maplewood and East Nashville will make some-type of run.

Sometimes you just gota give respect were it’s due - They didn’t look Pearl Cohn discipline (multiple penalties) last night & won 41-0. 
 

However, leading up East can now control 3A with PC moving up. Just keep the game on the schedule for the city!

Last meeting, that interception that was called a touchdown changed the entire momentum of the game! (Even the PC receiver knew it) 

Question: Are fans really allowed? 

How does BA lose the top PG in the nation to their rival school weeks before the start of the season?

Totally disagree. Community did a great job of slowing it down in first half but tried to play too fast in 3rd and it killed them. Great year for Community and nothing to be ashamed of. 

Community had an 11 point lead I the 3rd quarter - and lost by 12. Wow!
