There is a college for every kid that wants to play, male or female. It is the student-athlete's job to get the scholarship. Coaches pay attention to the work that the player does. Years of travel ball, and countless emails (only to the colleges that they are willing to play for) of schedules, and recruiting resumes... Coaches do their scouting during the summer. It's too bad that your girls think JuCo is out. They have no barriers as to when the team can get together, or play games... More ball = more experience. I'd suggest that they go to showcases and as many camps as possible. If they start getting offers, they may change their minds about where they want to attend.
