Hopefully Coach Bradley can learn how to call run plays for Jost tonight. He should touch the ball 30 times with CAK's depleted receiving corps. Right now it looks like the CAK season is on hold until Cunningham can play again.

Well, one good thing came out of this weather. Because Morritown West and CAK could not reschedule because of conflicts, we picked up a scrimmage with OAK RIDGE tomorrow night at 7:00 at CAK! I am very excited about facing Coach Day!!!

CAK vs. Oak Ridge already! Dang, might have to make it out for that one.

Come on guys, these prices aren't too bad in the grand scheme of things. You pay $5 to park(much lower than pro or college games, as it should be) at the complex with virtually no walk. $8 for admission is not bad, especially on opening night when you can watch a ton of games for 6 hours straight. This is the state tournament, so you're seeing the best teams in the state, and they are great games. I don't think this is too much to ask. Just watch out in future years when admission could go up for every round a team advances. Like $8 for quarterfinals, $10 for semis, and $12 for championship games. The money that TSSAA takes in on championship days is much less than on quarter or semi days because of the number of people and teams that are still in goes down each round, obviously. So, I dont think the price is too much to ask for some quality soccer!

Because both teams won their district final matches, how is home field decided?

Haha way to go out on a limb with the prediction there, reaction. Gotta go with CAK in the postseason, by a goal(yes I'm REALLY going out on a limb there). Go Warriors!

I planned all day yesterday to go this game, I ended up doing something else and it was apparently a bad decision. Gah I wish I could have been there! Congrats BigG on the big win and good luck against Alcoa! It seems like no matter what happens CAK and Alcoa play each other in the regions semis or finals every year. Just hate it that Catholic isn't there.....

Yes I agree that CAK played better in the first half than the second. CAK kinda ran out of gas about the midpoint of second half but turned it around for the last ten or so. The first half CAK had a much more consistent attack and West just beat them off set pieces (2 throw ins and a direct kick). Good game West you all should do well in the AAA playoffs if you can get out of that tough region.

About 27 showed up for CAK I believe

What does your team(or any other team you know of) do for tryouts? I know at CAK they have 3 days of tryouts which consist of drills, scrimmages, and fitness tests. Players are to run a 12 min 2 mile followed by a 6 min 1 mile and then see how many pushups and situps they can do in 1 minute. So, if anything, what do others schools do for tryouts?

Yes Page is playing here again next year. CAK is a private school so theoretically almost anyone can enroll if they pay tuition. If a player played varsity the previous year, he will have to sit out a year before he is eligible though. Yes I know what a mercenary is. But for clarification, mercenary, as noted by dictionary.com means "a professional soldier hired to serve in a foreign army". So you are saying that CAK has some people who are professional soldiers hired to serve in a foreign army. Now, you are implying that people are recruited to play at CAK, they aren't

Yeah CAK has 18 seniors at A 2A SCHOOL, no way! If CAK has 65 players or so on their team, and you divide it by 4, then CAK would have an average of about 16 players per grade. Oh no, but they have 18 seniors, 2 over the average! This can't be right! Must be recruiting.......good one

Yes there will be replacements for the graduating mercenaries.....its called under classmen and juniors this year who step up next year, just like every other team in the state loses players......good one

Well...I normally sit out discussions when My Page team plays private schools unless provoked. Guess what???

That is about one of the most arrogant moves that I have seen on here. It shows a total lack of respect towards the Patriots. I hope everyone on the Page team gets to see the post. I hope that sure comes home to you all and bites you big time. You may beat us but you will know you have been in a tough one.

 

Sure, we have a young team and have played a tough schedule so far. Maybe you get us this year at your place....but look out. Maybe...just maybe...this is something that really wakes us up.

Dang man, sure looks like you found something and ran with it. Who cares if someone makes a post about a game a couple weeks in advance, it shouldn't matter on the field at all. What wins games? On field play execution. CoachT posts don't, so don't go all passive agressive on a kid that posts about cak webb. give me a break. CAK will overcome Cherokees size with speed and technique. I'll say CAK by 2 TD's or so as long as Cates is playing the whole game.

Shaping up to be a great game. What I keep hearing about Boyd is that they tend to grind out games and get out with a win somehow. I'm going to have to go with CAK in this one because of the passing attack and good Defense. CAK-35 Boyd-24

CCS won 3 to 2 final. Northside scored two quick goals in the first 15 minutes and then gave up 2 before half. #16 for CCS scored in the second half off of a nice shot from 25 yards out.
