Bass check this out,fun fact,U.C schedule average equates to a over teams average ranking of 70th ranking in the entire state! SN is 286 played against ,hmmmmmmmmmm,I bet  my life savings U.C gets th W a million times to one over SN

If I were a football coach scouting out the other team prior to a big game on Friday night, I would think that I would not rely on numbers in a computer database and SOS. I would be preparing all I could to knock the other team in the mouth and flat on their a@! to secure a win whether they were #1 or # 15,000. I wouldn't brag too much on SOS. Spend half a season playing teams that would slaughter you is not a good way to keep a team healthy come playoff time. By the time playoffs arrived last year, our whole starting defensive line was gone for the season due to injuries. And we still faired well. I know a lot of you on this thread still think highly of UC because they won state last year. People thought that way of Marion county for a while too a couple of years back. This year UC just keeps dropping in the rankings. They just dropped again about 2 hours ago. Do you all base predictions on which team is bigger, stronger, faster? I seriously doubt it. Do you think UC is bigger stronger or faster than North? You probably do since your numbers on the computer are higher than ours. Except for wins. I hope you all keep relying on numbers and underestimating us from the east. That helps us out during playoff time. Also take a look at the playoff brackets from last year. North did not lose by a lot to Rockwood and Rockwood only beat Meigs by 1 point. Did UC get win state by mercy rule last year? I think not. They wouldn't have beat us that bad last year nor could they this year. Quit relying on computer rankings as they were the Gospel. Because you may just get knocked off your high horse.

I just rely on a lot of things. Listen, the teams in upper east TN are notoriously weak. It’s not a slight at them it’s just the truth. I’m telling you without a doubt in my mind. Union City is one of the top 5 teams in 2A and would mercy rule Sullivan North. Again, just my opinion, but several long time posters on here would agree with this prediction. Now, we know it can never happen because they would never make it to Cookeville to see these teams from the west. It’s all hypothetical and fun to predict.

Well, here we go. Do me a favor and tell me how you know without a shadow of a doubt that UC would mercy rule SN? I already know what your answer will be. Please, please, tell me how you know? I also love how people use our win against North view Academy to assume we are weak. What team did Union City beat this year? I know the answer to that one too.

Those 2 posters can't seriously be from cosby.  Anyone with a fraction of common sense would know that cosby and ng are the equivalent of two 4 year olds fighting over a mr. Potatohead

They both have one post a piece on the coach t. Probably temporary profiles from somebody being funny.

That’s exactly why I continue to rank Union City so high. Sure they have some losses, but everyone needs to realize who they are against. Teams they have ranked like Sullivan North and others would lose by 35 plus to Union City.

You have no possible way of knowing that. All you are relying on is what looks good on paper. You know nothing about teams in our region. Just because unapproved website ranks all your region teams higher does not mean they could stomp a mud hole in us. You ever compare teams? Like who has the most coaching experience? How many players are on each team? How many returning seniors is on a team? What is the over all Athleticism on each team? How many playmakers are on each team? It seems to me that you rely mostly on strength of schedule.

    Ambassador’s 2A Poll

    1. Peabody
    2. Meigs County
    3. Union City
    4. Columbia Academy
    5. Watertown
    6. Trousdale County
    7. Waverly
    8. Tyner
    9. Westmoreland
    10. Oneida

Throw the records out. Union City and Trousdale are two of the top 5-6 teams in 2A even with multiple losses.

I notice Ambassador takes Sullivan North off the list every time. Any reason why?

North wins 27-21. CD just couldn't do anything on offense in the second half. Grubbs returned a kick and caught a 4th quarter td for CD but they really couldn't get him the ball enough, and CD couldn't stop the run in the 4th quarter. It was 0-0 after 1, 14-14 at the half, and 14-14 after 3. Good game throughout. Also just a question, I don't go to a lot of high school games outside of Chuckey Doak, do bands usually play while the teams are playing? Like playing to purposely make noise to distract the other team. I don't really have a problem with it but just can't remember if I've seen another school do it.

Yes. Especially during kickoff and kickoff return.

  7. Seen some game footage on CD and Central. Central laid the wood to CD all the way up to the half. Central probably lost because they did not follow through and keep laying wood. North will lay the wood for four quarters. Also watched some footage of CD and Johnson County. Looks like JC burnt CD up through aerial attack. If North stomps on the gas and tosses it around every now and then, they will win. I believe a lot of opinions on here favoring CD are from their game with the forge. Do not underestimate the North Defense. They are solid.

    North beat northview

    Doak beat pigeon forge

Both impressive wins and both beat central.  North bye a bigger margin but both came from behind to do that.  Should be about even.  Doak does have some talent at the rb position .  Doak by 14

North has more playmakers.  Not all have had the opportunity to be fully used yet at their maximum potential. and I am talking about more then just one player.

Both teams have struggled so far this season. North greene is playing up in 3a which isn’t helping any and Cosby has had a pretty rough stretch as well. How will things go Friday night?

I have no idea who will win this game. North Greene moved up to 3A because at the time 2A was tougher. They was having to play Gatlinburg Pittman, Sullivan North, Hampton, and Happy Valley. Now 3A has been no better for them.

Maybe but as good as you are you all haven't seen the East teams play. Tyner, Meigs, Watertown, TC, Oneida or Sullivan North all good teams this year. The East is far from down this year.

Most these guys are biased toward the west and have no idea about the eastern teams this year. I would say that Oneida and Meigs are gonna be tough to handle for any team this year.

I would say the top three will stay the same, Watertown will probably go up a few spots, don’t know if they will jump some of the other team that won because from the looks of it, they were not very high on TC to start with, I would have them at 4. Sullivan North would not be in my top 10. JMO

You do not know anything at all about Sullivan North.

Hold on a sec....    A school with 2200+ students has a #2 QB who is 5'5/130?     I'm not disputing you, but please pardon my incredulity... that just seems crazy!      This is not 1A Unaka for crying out loud.    I'm sure he is a good player but..... I mean probably half the girls at DB are bigger than that.

Maybe some parents are fed up and sending their kids to other schools to play ball rather than play for DB.
