About the best way I can put this is that we lost it more than Bearden won it, that simple. Bearden is soft right up the middle, the QB is pathetic,The coach is stupid and this rent a player program will only go so far in the playoffs this year or any year. I don't have to repeat what our problem is anymore, everyone saw it.

    Yikes

  2. Bearden is riding high after the huge overtime win for the first time since 1993 at maryville. Cleveland comes off a bye but has played well the last 3 weeks putting up a lot of points. It’s beardens homecoming so maybe cleveland will feel disrespected. Bearden will be a heavy favorite. Gooo Big Blue.

Ooltewah has looked terrible this year. I really hate it they used to be really good. I have watched a few games and lots of sill penalties and blown assignments. The passing game has been an issue for them. I really want them to get better I want to see what others think from the outside looking in. Thanks. I have broken down some plays were errors were made however I don’t think anyone would listen to me.

Coaching point blank period. Go to a ooltewah game and you can see that they have enough talent to be a lot more competitive than they are

  4. Has East Hamilton took away from the talent of ooltewah? Yes but EH didn’t just arrive, and there’s still talent there. They were 0-10 last year and now this year probably the worst team in the area, just no excuse. Just because Goose used to play there doesn’t mean he’s the right guy. The proof is in the puddin

You do know that Cleveland is modeled after Red Bank? As well as the colors? When Cleveland was in the design phase this is what they wanted it to look like. Colors and all. Administrators went and visited several of the Chattanooga schools and Red Bank stood out. So that's how the plans for Cleveland came about. So yeah, a lot of history between these two schools. Football and wrestling wise. Haha. Coach Al Miller came from Red Bank. EK Slaughter was an assistant on the football team while I was an assistant on the wrestling team. Brian Thompson was from Red Bank as well. And records need to be corrected as well? '92 They (Sportswriters and such) have us losing to Red Bank in the second round of the playoffs. Not true. We beat them like a drum that year. They had Nakia Walker and we shut him down. That playoff game is what ultimately landed us in the Knoxville Region the following year.  Wanna talk about still a thorn in our side? We lost the State Championship my Sr year to those guys in wrestling. We were runners-up. Not saying if i placed higher we would've beat them. But it would've helped. We went and somewhat practiced with them over Christmas break in '94 and Coach Miller had to open up their own practice room. They were late. Haha...Never lost to Ed Chubb (State Champ) that year. 2-0 career wise against him. Sorry for the wrestling post. But yes, there is a lot of history there.

I think if Cleveland can keep carrying that momentum then i see them beating Red Bank? But you can never count out a Gatewood team. 42-21 Cleveland?

Lol nakia to this day is still my dawg.

  6. A lot of history going back to the 1970s. It’s homecoming for the Blueraiders and redbank come in as their only loss to Rhea county. Both teams are talented. Kobe Smith is a stud on the wrestling mat and on the field who could make a huge impact. Cleveland comes in after 2 huge wins the last couple weeks: this one could be Interesting.

I was expecting this game to be a bit close I figure clevegas would win by 21, like 42-21, cleveland is playing some good ball now, I think if they played rhea County before walker valley or played mustangs later in the season yall would have won that game by 20+  after mcminn beating oak ridge, it makes me wonder how rhea County and walker valley will match up, Mcminn is playing good ball for having a younger team, but you have seen all 3 teams so I was wondering what the Cleveland faithful thought about the make up of  the local 5a squads.  I think east Hamilton will get the 4th seed I don't see Ooltewah or Howard beating them. And honestly I could see the local 6a  region being

    1 bradley

    2 Bearden

    3 Cleveland/Mayville

    4 farragut/Maryville/Cleveland

I was at all of Cleveland’s games vs Rhea, Walker, And mcminn. I would rank as follows.

McMinn. Tough on Def, with a solid offensive line, with a host of RBs. They sell the heck out of the wing T

WV- Good smart QB, Good coaching but not much talent.

Rhea- well coached, big offensive line, small defensive line. Not one of Rheas better teams but still good enough to win 7 games.

I think mcminn wins the the region, I don’t think east Hamilton is all that good
