I thought mcminn was a good team when I saw them at cleveland a couple weeks ago Eventhough they lost. They execute that wing t to perfection. I told a buddy that they will have a chance to win that region. Congrats Cherokees

Bad night all around for Fooseball
Nah 15-18 year old kids don’t determine if I have a bad night. Congrats on the win

Long time Rhea fans. Greg Hyatte an ex eagle that played in the late 90s passed away last night from a brain aneurysm. Long time childhood friend is mine and ex teammate at cleveland before transferring to Rhea. Pray for his family and his 5 kids.

I thought it was going to bite us in the butt against mcminn. We scored 3 Tds in the first half and missed all 3 conversions. And we were up 18-10 but def played great.

Do you guys not have a guy that can kick extra points? We haven't been kicking extra points either. Going for the 2 point conversion everytime. That is definitely going to come back and hurt us in a close game.
Our kicker is excellent this is just Tygards style. Leaves me a scratching my head at times. But he’s an analytical coach

The Blueraiders make the 7 mile trek to the north end of the county. Cleveland has showed how explosive their offense can be and the defensive improved tremendously against mcminn. Walker Valley comes in 2-0 with alot of momentum. Both easy blowout wins vs Notre Dame and Polk Co whom are very small schools. On paper cleveland should win this game easily but we all know in these rival games anything can happen. WV will be motivated and will fight. I say Cleveland wins 42-20

Let's keep in mind Maryville was in this same situation last year. replacing Vaughn with LaDue and made it back to the semis and pretty sure they had to do it with the TB before Vaughn as well. Until BC gets serious about winning in the trenches, it doesn't matter how many skill guys they have transfer in if you can't win at the point of attack
I agree I just don’t know much about this maryville team. I’ll be cheering on the rebels for sure.

Bradley isn’t very good up front on either side of the ball and that’s their weakness. If Maryville had Ladue, I’d like their chances more of being able to grind the game out and keep the ball away from Bradley. Without Ladue that could be tough.

I don't disagree but you said everything below the knees. The rulebook is going to get to a point where nobody is going to want to play defense
Let me correct myself. Not everything, but leading with the crown of your helmet

Sounds great in theory but how many officials have you seen correctly call targeting? If we're trying to limit helmet contact, I'd rather see teams use guardian caps
In high school I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a targeting call. I’m just saying if we are trying to make sport more safe then it needs to be done in high school too. Not only to the head but the cheap shots to the knees could be potentially career ending as well.

Ah, got it... kinda like targeting
Correct

I think any tackle that’s done below the knee needs to be unsportsmanlike. Same thing happened with the Bradley RB last week against mcminn as he was going into the end zone. Its dirty and uncalled for

Yeah it didn’t look good. Knew as soon he got hit he was going to be hurt. Hope he has a speedy recovery.
and that was the hottest football game I’ve ever been at lol
It was sweltering, I couldn’t imagine playing in that.

Mcminns lone TD was on a 60 yarder as the half expired. Cleveland let their guard down. Looks lik Cash Bandy got hurt pretty bad for cleveland I hope i wrong. but one of mcminns players hit him low and his knee buckled

If everyone stays on the train the program will be hard to stop. Maryville kinda similar in that they run their programs from youth league, feeder Middle Schools and High School the philosophy. They are so strong fundamentally that it allows coaches to coach and not have to go back and teach tackling, blocking, wrapping up, pass defense and so on. I am planning foregoing the miserable Blackman season and coming to a few of the Cleveland games
Kriesky can’t be that bad bro lol

Tygard will have his team ready to play every game and excited. He is a master at public relations and developing both student and community support. I firmly believe in a day and age where parents will relocate to provide the best opportunity for their kids you will see more and more talent coming into the area, especially at receiver and QB. You can expect the ideal of onside kicks to always be prevalent. He understands that if a team's offense is going to score they are going to in 80 yards or 50. Statistics show you have almost dead even shot at kick of recovery. whereas you push that back in their favor for a long run unless you have a kicker who can put it in the endzone every time. Still a lot of building to do with in the program, but I expect great things for the kids and Raider fans this year.
So far man he’s way ahead of what I expected him to implement especially with transfers in only year 1. It’s honestly a sweet deal on what cleveland gave him. No teaching at all and everything football from K-12. Same offense from k-12 and ppl are already buying in

I think people forget Cagle’s records over the last 10-15 years lol. Dude is definitely not just a wing T guy like some are suggesting. He has only ran it a couple of years out of his tenure and it’s usually during down years athletically. The man knows how to adapt to the personnel he is given. So this doesn’t make much sense. Other than a few years here and there, he has had great success. Even won 3 out of 4 region championships from 2009-2012. Had some of the best rushing attacks ever during those years as well.
I’m not saying Cagle isn’t a good coach. I’m saying sometimes programs need change for the better of the future. A different football mind, a different excitement for the fans.

How is Cleveland looking on their fast paced offense so far? If they can run a Heupel type fast pace offense correctly with few penalties they will be a force to be reckoned with by everybody. High school defenses will be hard pressed to stop that. Cleveland will make a deep run if they master it
Still learning it, looks great at times but lacking consistency. I think they will get better as the season goes

Fooseball I remember when I was a Bradley and Chief was the coach. Was he a great guy? Yes. Did he care more for Bradley than ever? Absolutely. Did it become time for him to step aside? Yes. All those things can be true and it’s not a bad day thing or no ill will toward anyone. These coaches sacrifice and give so much for their schools. I just see a similar situation with Cagle. That’s not to take away all the hard work commitment and sacrifice he has given for McMinn
True, I get it

Everyone on mcminn side was saying the same thing, playing the most predictable offense known to man, other years they mix it up somewhat but always have relied on a break away runner as far back I can remember
Part of being a great coach is is making adjustments based on your personnel. With Cagle being an old school wing T guy, u gotta find a way to mix it up. Mcminn has had some tough teams under him but has the game passed his style up?

The better team didn’t win last week. Cleveland played awful and the refs didn’t help. Glad they bounced back though
