  1. I got fired up and misspoke-we were up 13 pts with 2 min to go and Trey is the only returning starter on the OL. We have 3 returners on the DL. I don't mean to come off as a jerk I just know these kids and coaches have worked their rear ends off just like everybody and to say they weren't ready is a shot across the bow
  2. Hey Kub- did you know this is the first outing for the quarterback? I don't mean a game and I don't mean a scrimmage- I mean at all? He's been out the entire offseason. Did you know once again we lost starting running backs and line backers in jamborees/scrimmages? I know teams go thru injuries but we have been decimated already before the season even started. Trey Smith is the only returning starter on the OL and the DL as well? Up by 14 with 5 picks against us and a screwy blocked punt and miracle plays at the end beat us in OT-our punter and best receiver out in the 2nd half hurt a lot -all I'm saying is calling a 3 win season is pretty harsh especially from a "friendly" supporter-I've been there all year and I know exactly how much conditioning they have done so frankly you saying the guys were unprepared means you don't know jack-it's the first game with a new coach with a new scheme with new players and you make the call after one game? Please
  3. I agree. Injuries are part of football, just hate to see it happen to any kid, but especially to one who might not get to play again such as a senior or the injury is so serious it ends their high school career. Anyway, it is a balancing act and you know the coaches want the players healthy so they have to walk a tight rope between benefits and costs. Hope you guys take it to St. Georges, but they're pretty good as you well know. They have multiple take it to the house threats so stopping them will be difficult.
  4. Hey guys- got a question. What are your thoughts on playing Liberty or any other large school (I'm talking depth differences) in a scrimmage or jamboree setting-- benefits (experience, toughness, etc) vs. costs (mainly injuries)? What is to gain and what is to lose before what really counts (the season)?
  5. Kublah- Sorry for not answering as I have had some computer issues. We have had 2 abbreviated scrimmages due to storms. We looked ok at times and other times we look like we are playing against 4A schools which we are. Coach Bradley played 44 kids the first scrimmage and wants to play more so everybody gets a shot. We have about 70 kids out this year which as you know is big for us. Lots of excitement and the kids are pumped, but many have not played before or haven't played in awhile and it shows at times. They just need experience and the scrimmages will help. New system is also trying for everyone especially for the older players because it is very different. I think we will be ok, but as in anything new, its going to take some time. Take care.
