Well it's certainly quite possible..instead of the county focusing on tourism dollars which fluctuates every year it could actually invest in having companies come to the county..I'll use Toyota as an example that would provide roughly 1,500 jobs maybe more let's say half of that work force would come from the county the other half off the mountain which means people are making more money in which to buy land which would also help the 30% of the county that's paying 19.9% on land tax. Toyota would also have to put money into the county that money could be used to better upgrade our roads schools teachers and coaches.. And since Toyota put up shop next thing ya know joe smuckatelly decides to set up shop hires 200 people half from the county half off the mountain all them folks off the mountain move to the county cause it's closer to work those kids enroll in school bam there's more talent right there..the more jobs we have to offer the more people will want to relocate and put money into the county that's economics 101. Next thing you know Pelham or Tracy has a population of 15,000 people or coalmont has a population of 10,000 people one county high school and probably 2 city schools..granted it would prolly take 15-20 years for all that to happen but ya got to be willing to take that leap at some point..

Actually go out and find industries that are willing to come here and plant some roots so we can bring in new people. Provide better jobs for the whole county so people don't have to drive an hr to work invest in a middle school or let Tracy and monteagle combine a high school. Hire proven coaches who have won state championships in all sports who cares if it costs an extra 10k a year to get them here. Y'all b--ch wine moan and complain about having losing seasons and kids transferring but yet not one time have y'all asked the board to reach out and hire someone with experience y'all are the same ones that was on the Bryant kool aid and the Tate kool aid and now y'all are the ones stabbing them in the back. Wake up and grow up kids are going to keep transferring and moving out of county as long as this rodeo keeps going on..

I could name hundreds of boys that came from the south end..sanders, Melton, Bryant's, cooks, newsomes, Foshee, arty, the list goes on and on and on..but anyways I'm tired of this one sided conversation Ima get to work..

If the north end of the county is so good why ain't Atkins the qb instead of Nunley? Name one HC from the north end of the county you can't Pickett from monteagle Bryant Tracy Tate monteagle brewer Pelham colquitte monteagle coach Melton monteagle the fact of the matter is south Grundy has bled purple more then the north end if the north wasn't so narrow minded we wouldn't have this problem..the one good ball player the north had just transferred to south Pitt so that just goes to show u where the northern end of the counties true colors lie..only way to kill a snake is to cut its head off and if the South end had any sense they'd sever the head while they still can..how many years has the north end been dominate in ball? 2 years in a roe whoopty do south end dominates year after year and always will until the north end becomes relevant..jacket out

You are absolutly wrong I remember Tracy boys winning 9 gold balls in 10 years..and south Grundy would flat dominate north Grundy in football remember we tried this north Grundy got spanked so bad they shut their own football program down..north Grundy could never hang with south Grundy 9 outta 10 times

It's a fact that all your athletes come from the south end of the county..they're the only ones keepin the county from getting rid of all sport programs and the kids have to travel further..save a few times Swiss is relevant Tracy and monteagle have dominated in boys and girls basketball..most of the football players come from Tracy and monteagle and Pelham. I have thought it thoroughly the worst thing this county could do is open another high school so they can destroy it just like the new high school.. The best thing that could be done is monteagle and Tracy come together and open their own city school charge kids that don't live in the city limits 1,200 a year in tuition to attend the school. With the right city officials that school would really explode with talent and smarter students..do your research the south end of the county has always been the one to bail out the north end cause they have nothin out there.

It just makes more sense to me to have to high schools Tracy could easily support its own high school yea the first 3-5 years would be rough but I have no doubt that it would be the dominate team in the county.. That being said people on this side of the county is tired of things bein ran how they are out there on that end of the county..the problem ain't gonna fix itself grundy is always gonna have this problem because people can't accept change in this county..expect mediocre teams with mediocre results and every 10 years expect a decent team to win 7-9 games and go to the second or 3rd round of the playoffs..Grundy doesn't have the talent to play 3A ball in all honesty it should be a 1A ball team and to do that it would need to have two high schools

Just let Tracy open its own high school and it would be filled to capacity every Friday night north end of the county wouldn't like it cause it would die off but Tracy would boom big time especially being close to the interstate

Buddy that's the truth not being an a-- just stating the facts were the second poorest county in the state with the fewest jobs to offer in the state..most people that live here travel anywhere between 30 mins-1hr to and from work. I didn't say all people are like that up here but there is a large portion of the county who would rather take government benefits and not work a day in their life and you know it to be true..it's not a surprise that our drug problem and jail is always full to capacity. Think about it if the county would focus more on bringing in industries instead of focusing on tourism dollars more people would be working less people would be on government assistance..can't help it if you can't see it but it's just the facts I didn't embarrass this county the count already embarrassed itself and it'll always be that way until people clean house from top to bottom and get rid of the small town politics and actually focus on bettering the county instead of filling each other's pockets..

I get what ur saying Indian it does suck that our home crowd is sparse but it'll always be that way we could be 7-0 right now or 10-0 and the crowd would still be sparse because people are more interested in riding the gulf gettin drunk and gettin high..that's what you get when u get a low income county full of people who live off the government all they wanna do is drink smoke crack ride in the gulf and make more babies that will end up the same way they are..reality sucks but it's the truth..instead of trying to bring in more industries the county would rather try and gain tourism dollars which is fine but that fluctuates year to year..what the county should really be trying to do is bring in some factories there's plenty of places to do it just to busy with small town politics

That's absolutley false the fund raiser is for the coach Pickett scholarship yes they went to the opposing team bleachers to offer raffle tickets on a big ol grill at the end of the year it goes to a good cause so I see no problem with them going to the opposing team and raising money for a good cause

Grundy hasn't had a big fan base since the early like the late 90s-2005 after that they fell off drastically usually first home game is a big crowd if we lose expect the crowd to disintegrate..

I don't know where u get ur info but whoever is givin it to you needs to pass whatever they tokin on bud..that being said Marion will always be played south Pitt will always be played as well as whitwell and Sequatchie..the only way I don't see any of those games being played is if we were like in a 8-9 team region which I doubt will ever happen..that being said grundy will change the admins will do their part the county schools ain't run by one person anymore they do need to change a lot of things and it will take time..can't expect a new school board to change everything in just two months..just saying have patience and coach Tate's record is on par with coach Brewers record all 5 years he was hc at grundy..and was better then that guys from NC..

My score predictions have been off but my win loss predictions have not been off by much..that being said I always pull for Grundy in an upset who doesn't pull for their team..I still think Sequatchie wins this game and until they finally lose a game I'm gonna give them the respect an undefeated team deserves..

Is there some things the coaches could have done differently during that game yea in my opinion they could but to behonest it wasn't the coaches fault for them losing the fumble on the punt return didn't help the interceptions didn't help the coaches put the boys in position to win and turnovers lost them the game..

Coach Tate is only in his second year no need to get rid of him..now if he don't win 5-6 games next year then hey it should be brought up for discussion..burner the new boys basketball coach is gonna win us some ball games the schedule is brutal this year which is their one downfall their first 4 games are against Franklin tullahoma and coffee county..out of their first 10 games I see a possible 2 wins. Next year. They can have a better schedule play some more winnable games..as for the ad mr. Trussler is a good man and would give you the shirt off his back..baseball coach I dunno him.
