Alcoa is where all aspire to be. Alcoa is in a class all to themselves, the extraordinary success brings attention to some athletes looking to reach the top while also discourages those simply wanting to get the chance to play and prove what they can do on a more equal playing field. The active pursuit of players to short cut to success is wrong. There have been examples of this, far too many programs get away with it. Swift and harsh punishment would hurt those caught up in innocence but for the betterment of the masses. The TSSAA can do far more, plan & simple for the overall betterment of fair play.
So your saying Alcoa is where all kids aspire to be. Last time I checked they are in the public division as well. yes I know Alcoa would beat greenback in a game but we have a kid who signed with north Carolina a few years back. This year we have a kid with 35+ d1 offers and another one that has several d1 offers with many more to come. So maybe kids are taking notice of the talent we are putting out right now and want a slice of the pie. If families are willing to move into loudon county and do it the correct way then what is the problem. Alcoa and Maryville have been doing it for a long time. Why cant other teams do it

Y’all been taking lessons from Greenback?? See they got 4 transfers and have 2 losses on the year. Y’all got 6 transfer and ain’t lost a game. Also ranked number 1 in the state. Looks like you guys are far better at cheating and orchestrating than Greenback ever hoped to be. You think I’m joking.....but your a moron.
I like your style

Yeah it used to be as you said, less than nice. We try to make sure the visitors have equal facilities as the home does.
we may have borrowed a spear off the wall in the log cabin dressing room after we beat you guys back when I played . Man was Satterfield hot over that ordeal.

Maybe we can meet up and watch LC and S Pitt then.
never said greenback would be there this year. South pitt should be the favorite for the east year. 60 kids and playing 25 to 30 kids. That's big in 1a football

10 years? Do you know the teams that have come out of 1a in the west the past 10 years? A team named Union City,(2 years)I recall them being pretty good. Dresden with Dresser Winn. NCS with numerous division 1 players and a Wayne co team that was the hardest hitting boys I ever saw. You can spew all the b.s. you want on here but expect to be called out. It popular on here to jump on Huntingdon posters. That’s fine. Much of the hype for Huntingdon over the past few years have come from other teams posters.
and don't worry you wont make it this year either because lake county will represent the west this year

You got beat by the team that beat Cornersville by 1. So you sucked too. This season you had to recruit 6 different players to make you relevant again. So......
we could have hung a 100 on the 2017 cornersville group that beat your all american Huntington team that was supposed to wipe every one out including the state championship game. Last year it was meant to be for whitwell and they went out and upset us in the semis. The state game between them and cornersville was hands down the worst game I have ever watched in a state title game. We was missing a few key players in the semi game due to injury and I feel like if they was there we beat whitwell by 2-3 scores

I’ve been to LC a few years ago for a scrimmage, but this will be my first trip for a game. Hopefully greenback shows up plays up to their potential. The defense has picked it up every week and really impressed with the run D. Offense is clicking with the line doing a lot better on run/pass blocking. Hopefully both teams come out injury free!!!
You boys are gonna have to keep me posted. Be in Ohio doing some hunting

Geez I wonder how many yards passing Carnes had. Deadly tonight completion percentage had to be over 85%. 61 for OZ needs a new chin strap, poor fella had to come off the field 10 times.
He was perfect 14 for 14...322 yards and 6 tds

One day away!!
Do you have #23 ready for another performance like he had last week. All the hard work he has put in is showing off in a big way.
-
if we come to play this week I think it will be a 3 td win for us. If we start out slow and let them hang around then who knows. I see OS trying to slow the game down with long drives if they are able to do so. Defense has to come to play.

Yes OS will come to play!Their D front gets after it,#62 i think is his number really gave Oneida fits gets penetration almost every play and disrupts alot of plays. If our D front plays as it has i also see a multiple TD win.Secondary needs to play well.
I agree. Defense played a excellent ball game last night. I figured #22 would get loose at least one time for a long td run but we stepped up and kept him in check. Need to bring that same effort and energy with us next week

Can we get someone to show up every week wearing a VT shirt and hat. #52 showed up to play ball tonight. And #23 good grief lol.all around great team effort

Now that is a genius statement. With insight like this you should start your own podcast and tell everyone who to bet on Sunday's.
you could have won some money if you would have listened the past few games lol

It won’t be close if we play like we did last night ole buddy. I was embarrassed.
You wasnt the only one embarrassed. The part that makes me sick is the amount of athletes we have on this team. Our line and secondary was the areas I had us pegged at A+ this year. But that did not happen and I was highly surprised. The leap that #23 made from his sophomore to junior year was incredible but I think he has made a insane leap this year. #1 is a gamer and can make stuff happen at any time. We have the talent to get it done and make another incredible run and I have faith we will all click when it matters the most. I just hate losing to loudon like that. Would have rather seen us get beat by anyone a 100-0 lol

I hate you started this thread..after watching our defense I'm scared to death..I sure hope the coaches get it all figured out and prove me wrong

Never said either was Alcoa...but maryville and alcoa have been winning gold balls almost every year for 15 years. They dont have to recruit because kids are knocking the doors down to play there. So what's wrong with kids taking notice to what has happened at greenback the past 4 years and wanna come there to play. We have always had out of county kids come to greenback. Just the way it is living close to the blount county line. Teams I played on back in early 2000s was full of kids from that was supposed to attend William blount.
