That Mathis man just built a house in Jasper Highlands. He loves it here and I think stays a while. He realizes there are a lot of good kids coming up and we should be a regular in Cookeville with the way the classifications are now.

Think about this: rotate the games each year between Knoxville, Nashville, Memphis. Now somebody tell me why this method wouldn't work, because I can't see why.

Franklin County is serious about winning

Franklin County really showing what their priorities are with this hire, A coach who ORDERS assistants to break in to opposing teams fieldhouses. ORDERS his assistants to vandalize a field house. Alcohol found on school grounds. He may know football and FC may win games, but he is not a man of character or a molder of young men. I hope FC loses every single  ball game and is hiring another coach 2 years from now. What a joke of a school system. 

Look around.... In the big scheme of things, spray painting a building isn't a big deal... Coaches have done a lot worse. Bottom line it was a prank that went wrong and got blown way out of proportion.. If this would've happened 15 years ago, you would never have heard it happened. That's a fact.

You can google Marion County text messages and find out real quick how it all went down.. Personally I think Mac is the right hire for Franklin because everybody deserves a second chance.But to think Mac was clueless about what happened is ridiculous. If he learned his lesson, I hope he is very successful at FC.. And with his tract record, he will be.. Good Luck Mac, and FC people will soon forget about "Spray Gate"...

Change is coming to the grundy football program from what I have heard and gather from our community and that's what we want. I also hear a meeting is scheduled about athletics soon and coach has sent out text invitations saying it's about junior jacket program hoping he gets a turnout making it look like everyone is there for him. It's bad when other people in other counties tell you they have never seen grundy football in this bad of shape. It's down right embarrassing to our community and our kids. The whole truth about the marion recruiting story hasn't surfaced yet there still a lot of covering up and lies that has been told by people in high places. Just curious to see what all stories or rumors ends up being true.

SP,Marion, And Whitwell are great games for Grundy... Not only are they great for gate money, they have no playoff implications win or lose. Again, comical backward decisions..

It's a fact that all your athletes come from the south end of the county..they're the only ones keepin the county from getting rid of all sport programs and the kids have to travel further..save a few times Swiss is relevant Tracy and monteagle have dominated in boys and girls basketball..most of the football players come from Tracy and monteagle and Pelham. I have thought it thoroughly the worst thing this county could do is open another high school so they can destroy it just like the new high school.. The best thing that could be done is monteagle and Tracy come together and open their own city school charge kids that don't live in the city limits 1,200 a year in tuition to attend the school. With the right city officials that school would really explode with talent and smarter students..do your research the south end of the county has always been the one to bail out the north end cause they have nothin out there.

This kind of attitude is whats wrong with Grundy.. Obviously you are a coach of some capacity. prolly used to be jacketbacker

If you know what many of us GC people know you would've already lost all respect. He's in the buddy system, so he will stay. Kids will leave. That recruiting accusation was a bunch of hogwash. Kids want to leave & are seeking other places. That's sad our leaders in charge accommodate Tate and not our kids. He has scheduled the weakest teams in 1A trying to get wins. This will not help if we even make it to the playoffs. It's a joke here. I pray for our kids they can get a fresh staff.

I think Grundy will makes change.. But hopefully it won't be too late... I agree with Bass, lost a lot of respect for Tate not playing the valley teams!!

Here in Grundy people don't want any better. There is no accountability at all here, we proved that when we let board members vote on their family member for our director of schools. We just let a certain group do whatever and get by with what ever. In a couple of our sports here if we can't beat you we weaken our schedule so we can keep our coaching staffs because they are part of the buddy system. I have heard there's word going around there are going to be some changes coming with coaching and at the AD position but not sure how reliable the source is. Take a look at our top athletic programs this year alone. Our football program was 1 and 9 and both basketball programs are off to a 0 and 4 start. With that being said I hope you can see we're not headed in the right direction for our children. People here are scared to say things because their children are the ones who pay the price for what parents say. It's very much political

I am glad this team is coming to us this year. That place they called a field last year was a joke. Coach has got some new plays for them for this game. They will find out about us this year. The old man on here is going to be mad after we mercy rule their tails.

I don't think there is any way we score 62 points in this game. Columbia Academy will shorten the game and we won't get that many chances. A comfortable win? Absolutely, but not 62 points either.

Easy now on the coaches, ND never gets out coached. ND has had the best coaching staff in the area since Fant took over. I promise you both teams better pack their lunch pails because there isn't any love lost on either side.
