Meigs is playing much better QB has improved every game. Not making a pick here. Hoping for a good game. Don't think Meigs is looking to make a statement.....I don't really care that Marion fans aren't impressed. Maybe some of the Marion fans that felt compelled to cheer for Silverdale at the state softball tournament will help the Seahawks with a few cheers this week.

Meigs is looking better. Off to a rocky start with Marion. But, they are looking better. Anyone planning on attending the game don't forget it's the annual Homecoming Pig Roast on the softball field. Proceeds go to support Meigs FFA. Pulled pork and ribs smoked on site with all the fixings.

Meigs in no way make shape or form has the caliber of athletes that Marion and SP has. Having 25 seniors is irrelevant. Especially when quite a few didn't start playing til their junior year. If this offends I can't help it. I agree offense needs a lot of help. But, I also live in a world of reality. I saw Meigs get that safety right off the bat. I honestly believe after that the wind was gone from their sails. I never pick a winner for a reason. After all is said and done these players are just kids. I don't care win or lose I support the sports programs. Meigs will have their day again. Patience always prevails. Rested up two weeks time to clear heads and shake it off. I'd look out if I was Silverdale.

Marion is well coached and has some fine well disciplined athletes. I would personally like to see the SP game next week. As far as Meigs I thought they could have kept it a little closer. After the safety they just kind of went limp. All the coaching in the world can't help you if don't have a fire under you. Although I will agree the offense needs a lot of work. The whole 2 plays ain't working. Hopefully these kids can take the week off and regroup. Thanks Marion y'all have a great team and very nice facility. I'm moving on now we still got a lot of ball left to play this season. I'm betting ol' Trez meets the MC Warriors for a repeat. Good luck y'all.

Thank you!! FF51.....My thoughts exactly I been following Meigs a long time. The current coaching has got them 2 winning seasons and in the playoffs the first season. Second season Meigs was moved into this region which in my opinion has the toughest teams in the east. Had Meigs won the Bledsoe game last year they would of made the playoffs again. This is the third season you have twice the amount of kids coming out for football that you had 3 years ago. That tells me something. Rebuilding a program from pretty much the ground up takes time. I expect Meigs to get even better the next few years. Lots of talent is on the way. Maybe I'm just too optimistic...... As far as this Friday I'm expecting a great game in a great atmosphere!!!!!

As stated before Meigs maybe should stay in Decatur!!!! Even their own fans don't think they could get the W....total lack of positivity why not just appreciate the kids and coaches for their efforts and hope they can play the game to the best of their ability. A fan that puts Tiger in their name should have a little more faith!!!!!! Instead of gloom and doom. Truth is if a team wants it bad enough they can get it. But, when fans don't even believe why would (the team) even think they have a shot!!! It's true Marion is superior , Marion did get a silver ball last year. But, even the best can make mistakes. I'm just putting that out there. I love small schools and communities for the fact most fans stand behind their players and coaches not blast them every time they have a chance.

Maybe this guy should just take over the program! Seems that (from an outsider looking in) the past few years Meigs staff has improved the program by leaps and bounds. The freshman QB moves the ball. The backs are speedsters! There's a reason some coach and others just talk about it!!!

Any true fan will have respect for their team and their opponent. I say Meigs gives 100% and Marion gives 100%. I think this Meigs team is much improved. It all hinges on how bad they want it. I've learned you just never know on Friday nights how things may turn out. It's all about the kids for me....positivity and respect.

So they just lay the ball down and say come and get it? Please elaborate? Lucky to score but closer than last year?
