  1. Seeing a lot of these posts, figured I'd put my 2 cents in. I've watched most of these teams this year including Alcoa and Catholic live. IMO Catholic would kill anyone in the state not named Maryville or perhaps that Brentwood Academy. Look folks, Catholic is LOADED at nearly every position and has D1 talent littered all over the field. Amari is killing it and he isn't even healthy. Their O-line is massive and talented. One thing people don't think of much when they think Catholic is their running game. They have 2 backs, one speed and one power, who would start for almost anyone around and be all world. Defense is nasty and very opportunistic on creating turnovers. Alcoa is good, but I honestly don't think they would score much on the Irish, maybe 14. I'm not hating on Alcoa, I have much respect for them. However folks, Catholic is the REAL DEAL.

A game between Knox Catholic and Cathedral of Indianapolis would be a heck of a game

  2. I love how you ridicule Alcoa for not playing Fulton. Alcoa replaces them with Catholic. Alcoa beats Catholic. The Irish beat Fulton and goes on the win state. Ha. Yeah Alcoa really scare of them buzzards! The F5 still 14-1 against Fulton and undefeated against Catholic. In a couple of years Alcoa should peak in enrollment in the new school. Is WILL put them in 4A!

Get ready Tad the F5 will on the schedule EVERY year! Can't wait!

Is Alcoa going up to 4A in November?

  3. Dang then let's include Ensworth in these imaginary games. Union City anyone? The Washington Redskins are looking poorly right now, I say the Irish push them around the field.

I can't wait until the Cal preps website website starts letting you match up Tennessee high school football teams with current statistics in October.

  5. Of all the teams you mentioned Catholic scrimmaged Oakland which was literally an even score with the one's playing each other (Amari Rodgers didn't play in the scrimmage just the one on one drills). They did go McCallie in August and Catholic, at one point, had a 21 point lead on the Blue Tornadoes. When the Irish's starters were pulled at the beginning of the 3rd quarter for the JV team McCallie came back and won. But a scrimmage is just that, a scrimmage, with teams keeping it simple. Not sure how they would look in a real game or with those others team but keep in mind the only people on coachT calling them the best in the state is people not affiliated with the program or fans of other schools. Catholic's focus is one game at a time and their game at Fulton not being the "best overall team in the state". Since none of those teams play Catholic and for that matter they don't even play each other (Maryville playing Alcoa is the exception) so it's hard to gauge. It would be some very interesting match-ups. But it's all opinion and individual perciption at this point.

Oak Ridge not Oakland.......Just Sayin ;)
