I will tell you what go watch the film I told you about and then post it on here and let everyone make their on decisions. I guarantee you you want like the film because he did score.

Lol come fellas, at this point what does it matter? Argue all you want on calls, TDS or whatever! It’s not going to change the outcome!
Sucks to lose but it happened! Sun came up this morning just like it will continue to do!
Congrats on the win GB...Both teams played there butts off!

Agree. Thanks Jack i think we will meet again soon!

I’m sure we will, I’ll be around for a long time...one day I hope the Greenback hurdle will be jumped!
Like you said in another post, each team played to win and at times you could see the emotion of not winning hit them!
Stats pretty much show how close that game should have been.
Sun still came up this morning, the loss will still hurt but I bet the sun still comes up tomorrow as well...

Good luck in the State Game...I just honestly believe we witnessed that game last night!

Yes Jack some did very little but some did.If your boy was one of 5hem which i assume he was you have done a fine job raising him.Respect in defeat is tough but our kids have to learn it.Just like going to our G before the game started and jumping on it before the game our boys WOULD Never do that witout consequences.

All would have if not asked to move to an end zone! Sure some of our boys were distraught and emotional, but I also saw  a few GB players talking with them and patting them on the back!
I can understand why the crowns of people would be a concern to both coaching staffs and police. That was a big fan base from both sides!
Again, good win GB, hard fought 4 qtr game!

About 10 out of the 79 did. Nobody rushed them off the field, not sure where you get that.

I didn’t say they rushed them off the field, your coaches along with ours and officers separated the two on coming flood of fans and then coaches started yelling for there respective team to go to one side of the field or the other. I also witnessed many kids after the gatherings still coming up and shaking hands. This video is made to put my young men in a negative light! Shame on the guy/woman who shot it and their comments!
This was a good, competitive game by both and trying to diminish that fact by posting this video is well HORSE MANURE!

South Pitt walking off the field.   My my my!

This is just not true! I am a parent of a SP player and you can see in your video players shaking hands. Yes, some of young men were distraught and emotional! Fans from both sides flooded the field and coaches along with officers separated them quickly!
I’ve taught my kids that in any sport you win and lose with dignity! Do not ever say I should be ashamed of my son!
This post ruins what was a game fought hard by both teams!
Congratulations on the win...horrible decision to falsely accuse a team of poor sportsmanship!

Ha! Cherokees kick that Pirates butt! Love it! Roy's got ride that ol goat all the to greasy skillet town!:thumb:

One point victory isn’t really considered “kicking butt” but whatever helps you sleep at night.
If either fan base says they weren’t on the edge of their seats the whole game is lying!

Both teams played hard, one point win is a win. Congratulations to Greenback!

    Dearest Mother-

By the time you receive this letter I'll be well on my way northeast to The Tribe of Many Nations.   You'll be pleased to know Captain Victory and his Band of Pirates were able to declaw and cage the Blue Tiger from the northern territory of Gordonsville.  We were able to defend the Beene but now the battle for supremacy lies in enemy territory.  That territory belongs to the Cherokees, led by Chief Ryan himself.  Rumored to be a distant relative of Irene. These Cherokees have members from every tribe known to man.  Amongst them are Bears from Tellico, Eagles from Seymour, TinHeads from Alcoa, and even Red Rebels from Mairvul.  Thus, The Tribe of Many Nations. There could be others by the time we enter therein.   If one were to seriously think about it, they'd come to the same conclusion as others; This being a Tribe that has been assembled, possibly hand picked for the sole purpose of taking down Captain Victory and his Band of Pirates.  Well, I must confess Sweet Mother of mine, your youngest son, who is of sound mind and strong body, could never and would never abandon his comrades.  No how, no way.  Therefore we march on.  Therefore we will make battle with this assembly of Nations.  For we are the Mighty Pirates of South Pittsburg.   And any nation or house that is divided shall not stand but most assuredly shall fall.  And I can attest to all that our House is undivided.  For we are led by the one and only Captain Victory.  Under his command we march on and battle on for supremacy.  Under this flag and this flag only do we stand side by side.  We will never forsake our Captain, our House our Flag or one another to join some other outfit.  We know who we are, what our cause is, and it's unwavering.   So I beseech the folks of the many nations to take heed.  Yes, take heed and run for cover.  Hide thyself.  For you have assembled unto yourself a tribe seeking gold.  A tribe seeking gold to make thyself a Golden Goat to worship.  So run.  Yes, run into the Little Tennessee River. Run headlong into the waters and dip yourself.  Yes, dip and wash yourself clean.  Wash yourself clean from this Golden Goat worshiping so that you may be spared.   For our Pirate Ships approach.  They approach with great speed.  And with them comes every Pirate past present and future. We are the Mighty Pirates of South Pittsburg.  We are coming.  It's coming. With us or against us.  The Captain is with me and I am one with The Captain.  Love to All-

  8. Game day men.....it’s been talked about from the very 1st game of the regular season...once it begins the time for talk is over! Two good football teams will run onto the field tonight and fight it out for 4qtrs, unfortunately only one will leave victorious!
Yell, scream and cheer for your team! Let them know that you are behind them 100%! It’s not about us, it’s about the young men playing the game!

Thanks again to everyone who offered to help me and PirateMike our tomorrow night. Unfortunately, due to some setbacks during surgery he was not able to leave the hospital and will sadly NOT be in attendance at the game. His heart is huge and his love for the Pirates will still be heard many miles away. I will be at the game and doing anything I can to keep him updated and sharing some of the highlights with him. Keep him and hisrecovery in your prayers.  Go Pirates!

I hate to hear this! You tell Mike he will be there in spirit and we will do what must be done to keep him up to date!

You people need to get your act together and not have two threads for this game. A legend like myself doesn't have the time to post on two threads. You are very lucky that my publicist is doing my work for me tonight.

I will be gracing everyone with my presence tomorrow night at Greenback field. I am glad the Greenback administration has taken the extra steps for coordinating a legend like myself's arrival and departure tomorrow in your town. It's not everyday you get graced with the presence of a true living legend. I have been to several matchups throughout the years at my once proud alma mater in Marion County, but they have recently fell on hard times again so I will not grace them with my presence until changes have been made to my liking and the extra baggage has been removed from their sideline. I have had several speaking engagements the past few months so I am highly anticipating this battle. My entourage is scheduled to arrive at this game promptly 1 hour before kickoff tomorrow night. I would like for someone to make sure the press box is exactly 72 degrees and not one degree hotter or cooler. When you are a living legend like I am you pay close attention to the fine details. This game will be a battle between two great clubs. This game features two living legend coaches walking the sidelines for their respective clubs. My publicist and research coordinator informed me that Coach Ryan was a former player and now coaches at his alma mater. He played at Greenback then East Tennessee State where he achieved legend status at a young age as a player.  He truly sounds like a true living legend. Both of these fine coaches have already achieved legend status coaching by evidence of their previous state championship appearances. This will be my first trip to visit you people.  I have heard stories about vehicles near the endzones at this stadium. My entourage will escort me to and from Greenback stadium tomorrow night. As always I will be available around the concourse during the pregame rituals for autographs. Sportman, Old Pirate, PowerP, and others should make sure they are there once again to breathe some of the same air a legend like myself breathes. I have been keeping an eye on these young lads all season. Several young lads on both sides have a chance to achieve legend status. The young lads at SP 1, 5, & 7 have all inched closer to achieving legend status, but they haven't quite made it their yet. I am told that Greenback has several young lads that are also close to achieving legend status this season. My publicist was going through some online records and told me to keep my eyes on # 1, 6, 23, & 52 for this club. I will have my personal police escort from the premises as soon as the game ends so I ask that everyone stay back and don't interfere with the entrance and exit from the concourse. I have a very important speaking engagement tomorrow afternoon in Florida that I must attend. A legend like myself is simply stretched thin during this time of year. This will be my second time to see the young lads from SP this season and my first time to see the young lads from Greenback. I am looking forward to a festive environment tomorrow as many young lads try and achieve legend status. Always remember achieving legend status is a choice!

Holy cow, where have you been? Your ears must of been burning, I had a conversation that your name come up in just today!

Ok let’s get back on track here. I like our chances if we limit mistakes, no turnovers and play d bending but not breaking!!! I have a feeling they come out Ready and focused. A lot of attention is on 23 rightfully so but we have a lot athletes if you let them get there touches they can score at will. So Sp d will have to be lights out to keep us out of the endzone !!!

Keeping GB out of the end zone would be nice but let’s face reality! GB is going to score, SP needs to limit the amount of times GB gets there!
Two offenses that can score going up against two defenses that must make stops when needed! Which D bends and which D breaks?
Both teams have athletes that can score if given the chance. Again, pick your poison on who to key in on!
Special Teams will be important and the team who can limit mistakes and take advantage of mistakes made by the other team will have the advantage!
It’s going to be a great game to watch! Enjoy it while we can, unfortunately the road comes to an end for one team Friday night!
