If I were a coach I would be licking my chops and praying to the good Lord above for the job. He was not pushed, numbers do not lie, 2 years was plenty of time for him to make something happen, especially with the talent that they had.

You are spot on bud, Lane and his defense have been consistent the past 4 seasons. We have every bit of faith in that man.

If you people think West is a bad job you're a fool. Yeah the early culture at west was not good, but the culture now is state championships or bust. New facilities, great talent pools, and a faithful community. Cummings did an excellent job and brought in some of the best assistant coaches around, I am very excited to see who they hire. The circumstances were not great for Harig, being the man i see that he is, he has a successful future. It is time for West to pick up where is left off and that was back to back state title appearances with one state title.

Buddy I love coach rang, I played under him, but I believe it is smart for the administration to push for Lane. Since cummings left all of the assistants that were left are a loyal bunch. I don't see killian going outside of the staff at all.

I have not heard anything about harig being gone, but if it is true then the hire should come from inside the coaching staff. The DC is top priority in my opinion, a new hire coudn't get any worse than hiring a 3a "star" and putting him in a weak 5a district with some raw talent.

Preach brother, Those coaches are going to end up leaving and will dominate anywhere they go. I loved playing under them, They were mentors, and are now my friends. They know what it takes to be the best.

Welcome to 5a buddy, the diamonds on that coaching staff are mainly on defense, look at what that defense did this year. The offense could barely score, i would not be surprised to if the offense had more 3 and outs than points total for the year lol. It was a disappointing hire and year.

No we haven't, but West never had the successful history of powell either. If Rang would have done what he was supposed to do you all would be doing just fine. He's a brilliant coach, i would not be surprised to see him back in East Tennessee.

If west doesn't make the right move, that school will lose everything us former players, coaches, and everybody else that put in the work that took that program to the top for the very first time. It took so much to create a successful program. Ask cummings what he had to do. All of that work finally paid off for 5-6 years, now only to watch it fall within two. That coaching staff has so many diamonds on it that other schools will and have take advantage of. AD better act fast or WEST will be the laughing stock it once was.

Not likely at all. He runs that program down there. Hire Kevin Lane. It's not hard at all. Dude runs a great defense and loves the kids. If west doesn't grab him somebody is i promis that.

Did you watch the game? At the end with 40 seconds left west was on like the 25-30 going in with 25 seconds on the clock and harig left a timeout on the field. The players did not know what was going on at all. It was pitiful.
