I agree it's way to early to tell but since you haven't seen Clay play making an assumption on scores is foolish. The LA game was HOF and LA shot lights out. They ended with like 65% from the field. Clay would blow them out if they played again. Wayne County would beat any of the 8AA schools including all of the 7A/8A. They are a very good team especially in Monticello and MC is probably the best team in 8AA besides maybe UHS. So basing your opinion on those games in a poor indicator of their ability.

 

I agree one scoreing over half the points can be a problem but there isn't anyone in single A that stops Key this year. He is averaging 42ppg and hasn't been held under 35 a game. The kid is a rare talent and I feel is the best point guard in the state besides Darius Garland.

 

I personally feel Clay is much better this year and play 10x faster. They lack size compared to last year but rebounding isn't a problem. I gurantee Macon County outsizes 90% of single A teams and Clay handled them fine. Clay has the easier road to the glass house. GCA, Humboltd, and even the west tn teams will have to fight in their region and substate.

 

Possibly the 4 best teams in the state are in the west in Halls, Mitchell, BTW, and Union City. Two of them won't be in Murfreesboro.

They got man handled.. It was men amongst boys out there last night.. Endicott I don't think missed a shot had like 20 I believe.. Smith probably shot 20% from the field.. Refs called a good game.. I honestly don't believe that Upperman is 30 points better.. But they are better all around.. Macon and Upperman shall be a very good game!!! After watching all these teams play.. Macon and Upperman by far the best 2 teams right now.. Macon being better I feel..

I agree on Dekalb score, without coach tonight they come back to reality.

Upperman by 18 or more. Think Smith is good, Upperman just really talented.

Really? As if it actually mattered?? With Shepperson on the court there +13 points in that game.. second quarter is where Macon got there lead.. with Ashburn catching fire.. Shepperson had 2 points 1 rebound in the first half because of foul trouble.. start of 3rd Smith is down by 22 I believe Shepperson had 18 points and 7 rebounds in the 3rd to cut it down to a 4 or 5 point game until they give him his 4th foul and the lead goes right back up.. please watch the film then come back and let me know if I am wrong.. but Macon is good.. not saying Smith would have won with Shepperson staying in the whole game but surely would've been a tight down to the wire game..

Heard CM hit a 3 with time left and coach calling timeout and the refs ignored it and let the clock run out the last 3 seconds. That is terrible officiating

Heard the same.. SC Shepperson had 3 fouls first quarter.. didn't play but 2 mins in the first half..

Macon by 14.. Shepperson played 4 mins first half due to fouls.. and Ashburn went off and had I would say 15 straight points to end half..

Upperman over Magnet big, Macon over LA big, Smith over Cannon big, and York over Dekalb pretty big.

Cleggy - I believe counting the 2005 Christmas tournament at Overton heritage is up 4-3 all time with the two school splitting winning away games the last 2 years ....Heritage with the sweep the first year in same district ....

 

White House beat smith county this summer by 10-12 points ..... new blue let's not forget they played a top 5 AA team in the state the night before Springfield game , and didn't just play but had Maplewood on the ropes ..... to think they weren't emotionally , mentally , and physically not themselves on the next night would be foolish ....

White house ended up beat Smith county by 5.. Smith county had the ball with 15.8 seconds left and down three with a play to run and the freshman throwing the ball in made a lazy pass and #14 misses a very easy dunk.. Smith county has no seniors.. 3 juniors and 2 sophomores start..
