Chase Philpot for JCS. He is only a sophmore, but he is an excellent soccer play with a great understanding of the game. He can play anywhere on the field.
Thank you sir, but my little brother playing sweeper (#7) helped me out alot too.
I DID however ask him after the game were on God's green earth he was during that particular play. lol
Thank you. And your exactly right, coach Danny has a group of well conditioned soccer players. I only wish that I would be able to be around next year to see them come together.
The McKenzie loss was a joke McKenzie only had 3 shots on goal the ENTIRE GAME. But the biggest problem for JCS besides lack of players (16) is consistently generating offense. If JCS can CONSISTENTLY generate a good offense they'll be able to win more of those close games.
Say what you will about JCS but the bottom line is that they are a second year program and only have two or three actual soccer players. The rest are just athletes filling spots. And to be frank you really don't have to worry about JCS running up the score or being a offensive powerhouse this year. They just do not have the ability to generate a consistant offense. They are a defensive minded team. They just don't have enough good soccer talent to go around. But they will. As for not being in the same leauge as USJ: USJ has an excellent soccer program and excellent players but they still managed a tie in their game against JCS. JCS can step on the field and play well with any team in the state. Unfortonatly it will be a few years before they can step on the field and beat any team in the state.
I think that you are over looking JCS. They tied USJ 0-0 and played Madison close all the way down to the last 10 minutes. But JCS will have it's chance to stir things up tomorrow as they travel to Lexington.
Sheffield is a pretty solid team, we played against them in the Jamboree and they have very good ball control and ball movement. They tend to play well in spurts. But they are definatly beatable.
