Normally wouldn't toot my own horn, but my footage of the Rockwood game is a lot better than their sideline recording. The audio was really bad of their recording if anyone has watched theirs.
Call 'em out.

Thank you very much, would love to watch, kinda wishing it was at Central.
I have said this for years, and I hope the middle school program helps with this, that Central needs more of there athletes playing football. It is amazing to me of how many good looking athletes just don't play when they get to high school. My son graduated with 5 seniors finishing football, with about 11 more that played with him in little league. I just don't know how to fix it. My oldest son graduated from the 2014 team that seen success, with the difference being most of his buddies stayed the course.
That was a really good football team.

Man, that was a tough one Friday. So many athletes on the field for Red Bank along with a QB that could flat sling it. Hoping the Chargers play hard and give effort. Really that is all you can ask for.
What is the record of the Central middle school? If they are playing for the championship, it seems thing may be looking up.
Not the championship yet. This game will be for 1st place seed heading into the 4-team playoff in 2 weeks. I believe if everything shapes out like I think, the 4 teams in the playoff will be:
Meigs County
McMinn Central
Sweetwater
Sequoyah

When is our bye week? For some reason, I was thinking it was after South Pitt, but I could be wrong.
After Central

Davis will have a good game plan for us. Will be interesting to see how his kids respond to the thrashing they took last night. I’d say he will have them juiced and ready.
We’ve got to avoid another slow start and not let all the Homecoming stuff distract us.
It’s homecoming week, pig roast week, and Central week!
Proud to be a Tiger!

I'll take RB, but don't count out the Chargers. It's amazing what a few wins can do for a program, and I am sure they want to chase the feeling they had on Friday night.

Been waiting all year for this one. Let’s roll!

Meigs Middle won 48-26 tonight against Dayton City.

I just think it will be a big night for the Chargers. If I was DD, I'd try to put up more points than ever before. Regardless of what happened or didn't happen last year, I still think it's ridiculous that he felt the need to leave a place he had invested in for many years.

You guys are blowing my mind.

Are you referring to the Meigs County game? We had negative rushing yards due to TFLs but even without those we could not run the ball. We abandoned it and marched down field with passes. We catch balls and don’t throw INTs we win that game with zero run game. Run game is a work in progress and seems to be improving quickly!
Not specifically referring to our game. Just from what I had seen on video.
You would’ve had to stop us on the ground too in order to win the game.

Why the Etowah reference? You and another Meigs fan keep saying Etowah. The school is in Englewood. Just saying.
411 all runs together for me.
Either way, the chargers win.

The Central offense is averaging a whopping 4.2 points a game .(0-14-0) Let's not get too cocky.
True. But Polk gave up a whopping 47 against Marion and 29 against SBA. They also lost to Copper Basin.......
Etowah shouldn't be cocky about anything at all, but I do think they get it rolling this week. This one will be a war! Really wish it was a Thursday game, so I could see it!

I honestly did not think Greenback's running game looked bad. I think #1 is a baller. If the 'kee's can continue to improve on the ground, look out.
I'll take Greenback by 2 scores.

Poor Sequoyah....
Loudon by as many as they want.

DD wins by however many he wants.

Greenback will be fine. I hope #6 made a lot of pies with all those apples he picked Friday night. Dude can play!

Polk Co is a really bad football team. Its so sad to see that program that had so much pride and grit be turned into what it is now. Alumni can’t be happy with the product that’s being put on the field. Go Wildcats.
It really is kind of sad to see. I remember those teams Polk had in the mid-2000s and up through 2013 - very dominant.

This is a big week. We have to avoid coming out flat after a big, emotional win Friday night. Region play in Decatur - gotta love it! The place will be rocking again!
Proud to be a Tiger and proud to support a program and a school system that do things the RIGHT way!

If he plays past half time I'd be real surprised. Like for Logan to get some snaps. Heard he looked good in the J.V Sweetwater game. I missed it I figured rain would have canceled it.
Carroll did not play in the JV game at Sweetwater. My source tells me he is getting great reps in practice, however. He is a great player, leader, and kid. And that TD catch he made Friday night was unbelievable.

Davis gets his first win in Etowah tonight.

Played bad against Sweetwater. I think playing on Saturday messed with us a little bit. It's really hard to get so juiced up for Friday night, have it get cancelled, and then have to come back on Saturday with the same energy and focus. It's a tough deal I'm telling you.
HAVE to play better this week, or we're gonna get it handed to us. I think we will play better.
If we come ready, this will be one for the ages. There's NOTHING like a Friday night in Decatur, especially when playing a classic team like Greenback. So much tradition, pride, and energy will be on both sides Friday night. Proud to be a Tiger!

Meigs hit the lottery when they hired Fitzgerald. interest in Meigs football peaked all the way down through the little league ranks and the results are being seen in your football program. Meigs has a lot of good young players on their varsity. Fitzgerald has had several offers over the last couple of years from much bigger and better paying schools, but I'm glad he's stayed there. Great school with great administration and fanbase.
Appreciate the kind words! Good luck next week!

Winning cures everything. There was a time not so long ago that bleachers were not so full in Decatur - dark times indeed. But it is the same everywhere. If Davis can win some ball games consistently, fans will start to come. That's just how it is.
