  1. Bet that was worst White had shot all year but Coffees Defense had something to do with that also.  Coffee hit last 16 free throw attempts in the game to secure the win.  Good matchup between these two teams. Coffees Senior Vinson and the White County Seniors have had some good battles going back to the Middle School Days.

  2. Congrats to Coffee County Lady Raiders on winning the Corey Brewer Christmas Tournament in Portland Tennessee this week.  Beat Stewarts Creek 43-29 in Finals Tuesday night wins over Pope John Paul and Summertown on Monday.  Team now 11-1 for the season.

  3. Not arguing but I’ll stand by my statement as all true.  No press after first quarter, zone all night, running clock fourth quarter, Bella took two shots in third quarter after having 31 in first half.   Never mentioned how long starters played but I did not mention that 2 girls who have hardly any varsity time did substitute in and played in first half.

  4. Physically they looked very much like a Middle School team.  Just being honest.  People will look at the score and say Coffee ran it up but no press after first quarter, played zone all night, running clock fourth quarter and Bella only took two shots in third quarter after scoring 31 in first half.

  5. Tullahoma and Warren County have also shut down sports till new year.  So yes I’m afraid it’s going to happen.  I’d say no games during Christmas Break is very good possibility.  Not saying if it’s right or wrong just saying probably going to happen.

  6. After first two weeks predictions:

    1. Coffee

    2. Lawrence

    3. Tullahoma

    4. Lincoln

    5. Columbia

    6. Franklin

    7. Shelbyville.

Covid and injuries could change these finishes very easily.  Lot of equality in teams 2-5 looks like.   Coffee has best starting five but little depth after that.  Shame how far Shelbyville has fallen over the years.

  7. Good Game!  Both teams got better tonight.  Neither had been tested yet.  Sparta held Vinson to 2 in first half but she came back to score 22 in second half.  I too thought they would foul her in regulation before she got off the game tie three.

Hard to say for sure.  Based on enrollments from two years ago (last time TSSAA counted) and likely 4 class cutoffs, I'd say Coffee, Shelbyville, Columbia, and Franklin Co will all be AAAA.  Lincoln Co could go either way.  Lawrence Co and Tullahoma will be AAA.

Looks like you are correct.  Coffee, Columbia, Franklin County, and Shelbyville will be 4A in same district.  Wonder who they will add.  Possibly Warren or even a Rutherford County Team such as Rockvale.  Going to be interesting to see.

Look at page eight on this thread one poster had it figured at every class with 84 schools but one and it has 83 and I think he has four A starting at 1159 kids. Never know but he may be accurate.

Thanks.  It would be a lot easier to figure out if we had a list from lowest to highest enrollment instead of alphabetical by school name.

  10. Have to give props to Warren players and coaches.  Great season no matter how it ends.  Team has been down for a long time and this has been a great turnaround season for them.  May be a one time thing for a while , don’t know, but hey enjoy it today.  These times we all need something positive to celebrate.

have been for the past few years but I believe all the teams can be beat from what I saw in district tournament.  i think depth will play a factor on teams this season and all teams will need it to compete it but i do not know if coffee has as much as lincoln and lawrence and i know we are young

Coffee also is young.  Only one Senior on the team, although she is a pretty good one. Will probably start three sophomores.   And yes depth will be an issue for Coffee County this year.  Must stay healthy and out of foul trouble. All that said they still should be preseason favorites.
