  1. Billy Richmond III of Memphis chose to play his final two years of high school ball at Camden, NJ. where he played with D. J. Wagner last season. Class of 2024 Top 25 national prospect will rejoin with Wagner at Kentucky next season. His dad is a Memphis restaurant owner and former player for Calipari at Memphis. Previously played at East High.

  2. Who are the favorites ?

3A District 12 : Do not know what to expect from McNairy after graduating seven senior starters. Fine sophomore pitcher to build around. Should be some young talent and pitching help in the freshman class. Very difficult schedule with out of region games against tough teams: S. Gibson, Dyer Co., Crockett Co., Huntingdon, & Summertown, along with a tournament in Ms & three in Alabama.

  3. The aforementioned poster does understand small school systems (Henderson Co., Scotts Hill). But you are correct that the coach pay scales will not be raised to compete with others for the best coaches. Wish Wes could have stayed for a long time. Maybe they get lucky with a new hire. Some good athletes at Selmer Middle. Good coach could draw players from areas (Michie/Stantonville/Lawton)  that could go either way (Adamsville/McNairy) and eastern area of Hardeman Co. (Middleton/Hornsby). And stop losing players to Mississippi (Corinth/Kossuth).

  4. McNairy leads series 27-10 (per Daily Corinthian) but Adamsville has won 8 straight. Bobcats last won in 2008. McNairy depends heavily on senior dual threat QB while Cardinals have multiple playmakers on offense. Edge to Cardinals. Future looks bright  for the Bobcats under third year HFC Johnson.

  5. Don't overlook Adamsville. Young soph qb Ben Hill, soph rb Malachi Moore, jr receivers Avery Abernathy & Keelan Surratt, sr receiver Maddox Smith. Big play ability. Believe QB's dad was a fine qb at North Side & Lambuth back in the day.
