WH PG was trying to dribble out the clock, tied 42-42 and he got rippppppped at half court. Westmoreland took the ball and scored on an and1.
WH had the play on Instagram but pulled it

    Tough loss

Yep heck of a play by 13. They kind of slowed the pace down and WH had a off night.

Devils took down Sycamore on Friday though!! 58-56!

And doing it without their post player was even more impressive. The other 2 post players stepped up big time. White House to me is the most talented team in the district.

How tall is the big kid? Does he get enough touches?

I’ve seen him listed from 6’8 to 6’10 so not real sure. He gets touches, he’s not a statue, he can move, ive seen him take a few coast to coast. He’s been playing fine and his teammates are starting to join him. They are on a 14 game win streak are starting to smash some teams that they barely beat last time.

  4. Current district standings above from coach t.

Sycamore undefeated in the district. But they can be beat, the big kid is offensively limited. I was at the Harpeth vs sycamore game and they had 25 points after 3 quarters. Not as talented as I thought overall.

33 # for White House to me maybe the player of the district. If their point guard is playing good they are tough to beat.

Harpeth Is well coached, best player is #3, Who is 5 foot nothing and they give teams fits.

Still think district will come down to Sycamore, Heritage, or White House. Which ever one finds the most consistency.

    Cheatham and Westy Are struggling.

  5. 3 teams are above .500 right now.

    Sycamore, Greenbriar, and WHH.

Sycamore is most talented with big kid, double him and leave open shooters or let him kill you.

Looks like WHH and WH have really played up in competition based on schedules. So should be ok in district.

Greenbriar is winning but I would say talent is about the same across this district and they will lose some.

Harpeth, Cheatham, WM Not much size, streaky shooters. If I had to choose today I’d go.

    1.sycamore

    2. Heritage

    3.Greenbriar

    4.WH

    5.CC

    6. WM

    7. Harpeth

Just my opinion, I know it’s still early and I could be wrong.

Sycamore only team with shot in regions depending on matchup. Watched them play East and East won by 20.

Wheres the Stewart County reps on here? Looks like they took Sycamore to the wire and are having a good start to the season.

Glad to see the Rebels improving.

I think they get in the playoffs this year...

I'll say Camden/ Fairview winner is 1, loser is 2

    Sycamore 3

    Stewart 4.

Still got an entire season though so any thing can happen.

  7. Sycamore should be a dark horse to win this region. Return a 1500 yd rusher in #5, who was the offensive mvp. Have some good lineman returning and their quarterback may be the best in the region this year. He started some first 2 years but is clear cut 1 this year and has looked good in 7on7. Just a Jr. Has big arm and wheels.

In 20 years of playing a varsity schedule the boys basketball program has played in many big games and produced some of the better teams that the county has ever seen.  The problem now though is that whoever they hire as the coach will have to use money raised by the athletic program to pay his assistant coach because Cheatham County Schools no longer pays assistant coaching stipends in any athletic sport across the board.

That's a huge problem. The powers that be have run off some great coaches, teachers and administrators. Been going on for a decade now, with no end in sight.

Yes rebounding was the difference in the game! It was 43-23 in CC’s favor with CC getting 19 offensive!! Hard to win a game with that big of a margin in that area!

Cheatham also held them without a field goal for the last 7 minutes of the game. WV only scored from the line. These were not upsets as someone stated in another post. They beat Macon at their own game (transition, 3's and driving) and Westy at their own game. ( Slowdown, def battle). Had they hit free throws and layups the Westy game would have been by double digits as well. The 6'2 post made them alter some routine shots.
