True but I would feel funny if I was a HC and the AD is my oc which is also my boss.
It happens... Just have to be able to allow him to wear both hats and trust him enough to be able to give you the backing through the tough times. He has to respect the fact you have the final say. Would have to be friends for sure.

I happen to like Alcoa... They win without buying their talent.
And without running the spread... And do it ALL. THE. TIME....

I just talked with someone close to the program who confirmed the game. It is a buy game for BA. BA put the money on the table and we agreed. I don't have a date, but it is a go.
It doesnt surprise me. They know you all have a heavy home field advantage and they don't want no part of that. Because it probably wouldnt turn out well for them. At the very least you all are being compensated. I think you all can come up and pull it off to be honest. Based on how both of you looked at the end. Obviously BA has the best that money can buy, (at least they are supposed to) but I came away feeling like several top end public schools (in the state) would have beaten them this year.

OK ... talks have started. That's a good thing. Let's see where the the talks go. I have my suspicions though.
I know the administration at WH and they aren't going to want to come to BA in 2019 without a return trip to WH in 2020. I think the HC at WH would sign a contract in 'good faith' to the BA coaches and the BA administration to come to BA in 2019 in return having BA to come to WH in 2020. However, WH has been burned by some privates schools in the past in this regard.
If BA won't come to WH in 2020 I think that will be a deal breaker. When I say come to WH ... I mean, come to WH and not some neutral site. Whitehaven Memorial Stadium. I know that the WH administration is going to be adamant about that. So ... let's wait and see what happens.
If they pull it off, then that will be GREAT for all involved!
Make BA put a little coin on the table if they want a one and done.....

You call it ‘as your opinion’, not ‘as it is’. And your opinion is waaaaaaay off in several instances.
Several non-Oakland folks here disagreeing with your ‘opinions’, as well.
You have some type of ‘bias’ against this Oakland team would be a more accurate statement.
AAP he isnt biased against Oakland... Only teams who don't run 5 wide.. Running bubble to the trips with a jet/slant tag and a slant /wheel combo on the twins side, making his checks pre snap. He can RPO to the jet or run a QB draw option because there are only 5 in the box.... And snapping the ball every 12 seconds... Because that is the end all be all offense now that wins and should be the only thing that works now... Other than that he's good!

Incorrect. As I said, you haven’t witnessed much Oakland football, if that’s your take. My point is that our defense has changed what we have been lined up in, depending on who we’re playing.
Exactly. I guess the spread guru knows nothing about film study or tendencies. He definitely tips his hand on his lack expierience.

The only reason people are all of a sudden loving the wing t is bc of one win. No one was saying this when Creasy choked in 2015,2016,2017, to teams with less coaching and at times less athletes. All bc he was h*ll bent on running his stupid wing T and has no pass game. What was the offense that they ran on him oh that’s right the spread. There is no “show” to the spread bc it just works plain and simple. If you have no deep understanding of how a team is trying to get matchups, succession play calling, rpos, etc, then yes the spread looks unorganized and a “show” but I’ll take it against that outdated wing T any day. There is a reason it’s not ran by any good teams in college and especially pros LOL
You really don't know, what you don't know. CKC's track record over time and at 2 different stops speak for themselves. You are so simple minded to think you can literally draw up what ever concept offensively scheme wise and just expect it to work. I promise you that your routes wouldn't be as crisp as they are drawn up on the white board against an Oakland defense. And I promise you CKC would bludgeon you into submission with the offense and eat all of the clock.... So many factors about why you would be so wrong. But you probably will never find out because you'll probably get your tail handed to you long before you even got a shot at Oakland...

Lol, but they were the better team and gave the game away... that’s like me saying Whitehaven was the better team over Oakland but we just gave the game away and left our offense back in Memphis.
I promise you from the time Whitehaven stepped out the bus NOBODY was remotely confused with thinking they were better than Oakland....

Lol you are ignorant bc you don’t understand any football concepts at all. If Oakland played any team that would tempo tf out of them and spread them sideline to sideline and had a good qb they wouldn’t win
Good luck with that genius... I promise you that the short pass would be taken away immediately by the Pats and there would be no time for the deep ball with the Oakland pass rush in ANY QBs face. Gotta have time little buddy. That "concept" right there would dismantle your spread... Do you want me to go down the names on the roster as to why it would happen this way? I have forgotten more football than you know... And the rings to prove it. Please don't be so simple and ignorant.

Great defense, great ground game (veer, wing t, iform, single wing ect.), enough passing to keep teams honest outside , great weight room, great character guys, great parents, great administration, community buy in = Championship or close to it each year....
IE: Oakland
STICK THAT IN YOUR SPREAD!

Still does'nt make Ravenvood a traditional powerhouse. You hear the name Ravenwood... Everyone thinks good team. Not traditional powewhouse. Most people also think Will Hester got them their most recent success... But he is in Florence. And Brian Rector is at Ryan.

Ravenwood is no powerhouse. Not even close....
Whitehaven,Maryville, Oakland, are the only 6A powerhouse teams currently.

Ok, its Thursday...
What a great atmosphere this is going to be, but I think that the Patriots come out and hit MJ with the "Rutherford Co. Gas" as I like to refer to it. Its the same kind of momentum that Riverdale hit them with in the first round last year when #11 went for the house call early in the game. Last week Blackman came out with the same kind of fury it seemed but the Bears weathered the early storm and it settled back down. I do not see the Bears being able to overcome the opening shots sent by Oakland. There will be big plays early on by the Pats and the Bears will be chasing them for the rest of the night. CKC and staff will stay one step ahead of CTP and his staff all night long... In the end it will have been a good season for the Bears, but Oakland will move on easily to get a rematch with the Rebels.
Oakland - 31
Mt.Juliet - 14

Obscure fact: Admiral David Farragut never lived in Farragut.
Mt. Juliet looks like a real nice venue. I like the fact that someone in Wilson County Schools was able to build a new football stadium without a track around it.
You can thank the living legends Mel Brown and Roger Perry for that one!

Who are the guys that have proven their worth and will be getting a shot at being a head coach very soon?
Who are the guys content with being coordinators or a position coach that really don't have any aspirations to be the head guy?
Who are the guys that have previously had shots at being head coach and it just did'nt pan out, but now mean everything to the staff they are on?
Who are the guys that no head coach can do without?
Give me who you got and why.
