See where you are getting a new press box that will probably cost in the neighborhood of $60,000.  That amount of money will buy a ton of Rain Bird sprinkler heads.  Thought someone got a stipend for mowing and field maintenance at all CMCSS high schools.  How much do you need to get the field in good condition?

I saw that press box project started, yet to see progress on its completion beyond digging for piers.

The stipend was part of the funds I stated have been fully exhausted in the renovation. A little patience, water, and sunlight and the surface will be fine. Again though, if you are willing to donate towards field maintenance feel free to break out the checkbook or go down to the CO-OP and load up some fertilizer. The field was neglected for years and based off the BYU field wear index value charting system our field requires the most need. Starting in August and ending in May, the field rarely sees a day where feet aren’t trampling the lush root systems of the Bermuda. Over five sports/organizations use it on a daily basis.

This year alone the field has received roughly $8,000-$10,000 worth of seed, fertilizer, sand, pre-emergent, post emergents, and mowing done to it.

    FB,

Will the renovations on the field be completed when Springfield plays there August 17?

I have only seen the box torn down since it began early July. Doubt it will be fully finished by the 17th ,the field will be fine. Nothing but a little sun, fertilizer, patience, and water needed to make the Bermuda grow. The playing surface will be the best it has been in over a decade.

  3. Sheppy- if you want to help with that TLC send all checks to 151 Richview Rd. We have exhausted all school funds on our complete renovation of the field. Had some sprinkler issues from sprinklers that were installed in the early 90’s. Would love some help with fixing the rough areas though.
