Thoughts?
I think Chatt beat Central 62-55 in basketball yesterday. That's what the score said anyway.

I believe Watertown may upset Central in round 1. Tyner has a chance to upset Sequatchie as well. Will be some.good games in round 1.

That was a hard fought game, we fumbled on the first possession and gave them momentum and it was a dogfight from there. Two big plays on that last possession, 3rd and 15 this a 30 yard pass play and big run to take it down to the 2 yard line and take a knee for a 10-0 regular season.
Played out like a playoff game.

Separation Thursday. Hopefully we will get revenge for the beating we took last year. I still believe we win by 3 tds. Nothing against Tyner, I'm sure they are a good team and improved over the course of the year, but so are we. I look for a high intensity game from Meigs tonight. I hope we show up and show out.
Safe travels to you Tyner folks.

would personally prefer it to be otherwise.....but Inglewood will collect the W over Harrison in this thurday nights contest.....figurin by a couple extra trips to one of the endzones...
....the sweetwater brainerd is a coin flip....so cant predict who collect last region place yet
thats a Booger Pickin
I personally thought Chattanooga Central was better than Brainerd. This could be a tight game. Hope the boys in blue bring it home.

My head hurts after looking at all those scenarios lol
Yeah, it's not near as cut and dry even In our region as I thought it was.

Here's a good look at the implications of this week's game for our region.

Or the defense was playing so bad the coach decided to put the young players in hoping to motivate the starters to play better.

No. You said you were told that Starters were out after the 1st quarter and that was not the truth. Young guys came in on D second half and 1's stayed in on offense.
That's a strange way to play a game.

Central stopped Tellico on its first two possessions of the second half. Chargers scored to make it 44-18 and then substituted freely on defense the remainder of the game. Tellico scored all three TD against Central's JV.
That's pretty much what I had heard as well, but was corrected

If Tyner somehow beat Meigs would they be seeded above central?
6 hours ago, Ram4Life said:If Chatt Central somehow beats McMinn Central and Tyner upsets Meigs (I know both are a stretch) - Tyner would be the one seed. So Meigs doesn't officially have the one locked up. Loss by the Chargers to the Pounders would be their second region loss and Tyner/Meigs if each had one loss would go to head to head. Not likely but it is possible.
5 hours ago, Ram4Life said:Tyner did play their best game of the year but Rhea helped with some early turnovers that gave Tyner momentum. It was only 20-14 Tyner at half but the Rams scored on 4 straight possessions in the second half and did a pretty good job all night of controlling Rhea County's run game. Scores against common opponents - it certainly looks like Meigs is 3 TDs better than Tyner but I sure would have thought the Tigers would have been 3 or 4 TDs better than Polk County too. The most likely scenario has Meigs 1 and Tyner 3 and if the Rams could pull a win at Sequatchie in Week 1 of the playoffs they will be right back at Meigs for a rematch only two weeks after the first game. Might get interesting.
If McMinn C and Meigs were to be upset, then the seeding would look like
Tyner
Meigs
McMinn C
Brainerd.
Good call on that btw. I hadn't given consideration to a two team upset on the last game of the season.

Great post bud. Good to see you on. Safe travels this week. It's not too far fetched that scenario you mentioned. If you can beat Rhea you definitely have a shot at the upset against us. The Centrals game will likely be a good one.

No, think overall record would matter then. It be a 3 way tie though in region. You also won your head to head with them and have a better record.

Seems Tyner has improved and Red Bank has regressed some (maybe injuries) but I see a good ball game brewing with Meigs with the win but maybe a 4th quarter game.Good luck Meigs.I said this back in 13 when we had you all on the schedule a few years and you all were a badly coached team but LOTS of very good players that when you all got some coaching -Watch out!A Meigs fan came and stood by me on our side during the game and said why are you guys always so good and I said we always have talent and just enough coaching to put us in the right place at the right time. Then Ryan came and took us over the top.He said I can't understand why we can't win (had 50 to 60 kids on the sideline).I told him to just hang in their and at some point the right guy would realize your potential and low and behold Fitz came and the rest is history.Very glad to see you all being so successful!
Thanks O&B, will be nice when you all get the coaching you want as well. I've no idea what is in store for us next year as far as talent. I do know if we drop off it's not due to coaching. I can live with that. With you all the best.

Meigs comes in after dominating Brainerd, can they continue the winning streak and go undefeated, or will the young improving Rams that beat a much larger school in Rhea County, come in and snap the winning streak. Thoughts on this one?
14 hours ago, RichyRich said:Very surprised the rams beat rhea county quite convincingly
Great game to get both teams ready for the playoffs. I hope we all come out healthy. This game has no impact on the seeding of the playoffs as Meigs has clinched #1 with the Brainerd win. That being said, I know these kids enough to know they aren't going to play like it doesn't matter. These kids want to finish the regular season without a loss, and want to be the best they can be. Can the Tigers derail the Ram train? Will playing on a Thursday have any impact on either team? Will Tyner playing like they are, upset the #2 Seed in region 4 in round 1 which should be Sequatchie. Good football ahead, and the 2 vs 3 seed in our regions in the first round could very well be a toss-up. Who ya got in this one?
If Meigs doesn't have any hiccups I believe we will win by 3 scores.
Meigs 35
Tyner 14
Tyners weakness seems to be their defense. Offensively they seem to be able to score points and more so toward the end of the season.

Thanks O&B, we normally don't have back to back bad weeks. I was at least banking on that haha.

If there was a game for Meigs to be concerned with on their schedule in region play it’s Brainerd. Meigs has athletes that Brainerd has not seen.
they have the ability to pull off the big play if they can connect. QB&WR seem to be out of sync but if it comes together there should be concern with the athletes.
if Brainerd watches last weeks film and executes defensively then this may be alot closer than expected.
meigs can not afford to come out slow like they have on several occasions this season. They need to show the ability these next weeks to put 4 quarters together without committing silly penalties that have plagued them all season.Fixed that for you.

Meigs 49-12 with 6:19 left in the 4th. Young guys are in.

I thought we should have go another TD there with the ball on the 1 with 18 seconds to go.
Think we tried, but got sacked.

If your coach can overhaul a defense in a week you may have a chance. Otherwise you are in trouble sir. All of your best players are on offense and it shows. Gotta share the wealth some to make it work.
