After last night I have my doubt about central even hanging with Watertown.
It happens on any given night. Happened to us last week. A win is a win.

I do too. Definitely will be fun to watch. Wish Watertown could get a chance to play Meigs, but I do not see that happening anytime soon!
Never know, I believe the Watertown and Central game will be a close game if they get to play.

Right now Meigs County is rainbowland. Alcoa vs. Giles County in the 4th round. Heard it here first.
More loaded than an O'charley's baked potato.
I normally hear comments like that when people are loaded
Hope we get to play each other.

I don't want to live in rainbowland and you can't make me live in rainbowland.
So if Meigs beats Giles, are they extra loaded? Not sure how that works.

Well, he lied lol. Starters played until 8 minutes left and the offense never subbed young guys.
He has a kid on the team, so I figured he would know lol.

Sounds like you had our Polk game

I was told by a co-worker that Central mostly only played starters the first quarter and at the end of the game when they wanted to stop Tellico from getting close to tieing it up.

I’ve said all season that penalties could bite us in a close game if we’re not careful. As far as the athletes, They look a lot like Chat Central and Hixson has some good athletes as well. But I do agree with you that we need to come out fast and play physical and set the tone, if we do that, I think we win comfortably, if we play like we did against Polk with all the penalties and mistakes then we could be in a dog fight . It’s really hard to go undefeated in the regular season, trying to keep a bunch of young men focused for 10 games.
It's a region game and we're at home. I don't see us struggling this week again like we did last week.

Alcoa traveled to Giles County Last year.
Giles is region 4 so doesn't that mean odd region will host? Coming to a new classification I'm not sure where it will be honestly.

My guess Giles Co, advances to play Region 1 & 2 winner?
Pretty sure Giles has been the team to advance for a few years now. I know last year they played Sweetwater then got to play Alcoa. I believe the odd region hosts this year if any of our teams are still in it. Can correct me if I'm wrong.

Should know more about H2O chances after tomorrow night.
They put up over 30 points against Pulaski and 48 against Grundy since the QB change. ( I believe they were averaging 15 prior).
The defense was atrocious against Pulaski but they did have a couple players injured and Grundy just isn’t very good.
Macon County should tell us exactly how far we’ve come this week.
If we both win round 1 I think we would play each other if current projection stands?
-
At this point the speculated pairings would be
R3 (1) Meigs vs R4 ( 4 ) Grundy Co.
R3 ( 2 ) McMinn Central vs R4 ( 3 ) Watertown
R4 ( 1 ) Giles Co. vs R3 ( 4 ) Brainerd
R4 ( 2 ) Sequatchie vs R3 ( 3 ) Tyner
Just a talking point folks. This could change if there were some upsets, but I think it may turn out this way. What have you? Any upsets in the first round? The Central and Watertown game should be a good one I bet.

This Meigs team seems to be like some decent Oneida teams of the past a "good" team that plays to the competition.Davis is a good coach and I'm sure it was played the way he liked it.If Polk had an offense they would stun some folks.
Thinking back on our season, Im not sure you are wrong. Any team with a good record we showed up and showed out. Not sure what this was.

I'm ngl I thought Meigs would beat polk by 3 or 4 tds. I'm honestly surprised polk didn't beat Oneida or play Pikeville a little closer than they did.
Great win for the Chargers. I didn't think you could pull that one off. And yeah, Im surprised at our points scored against Polk. It's good to have a reality check every once in a while.

Both teams are coming into this game off a victory last week. Both of them have a shared loss from Meigs county being their only common opponent. This game could be a toss up, but this is the best Kingston vs best central team I've seen in awhile, just think Kingston looks a bit better with more experience . I think the final score will be something like
Mcminn central 22
Kingston 35
I'd love for the boys in blue to win, but they have to stop Kingston offense early on and try to win by slowing the ball out And maybe getting a defensive touchdown or two if they can good luck to both teams this coming Friday hope for it to be injury free, because both teams will need to be full powered come playoff time.
Kingston is a pretty solid team this year. Beating them won't be easy.

This is as good a reason as any to charge for a subscription. At least someone would have to pay money to post like this. And once banned, they would have to buy another subscription to keep it going.

The score has to be 35 points ahead or more. We were up by 30 at that point.
Think they changed it to 30 points. It's not applied until the second half though.
