Your pessimism is troubling!  What's the matter with you? Have you forgotten who we are?  OR will NOT lose this game!!!!!!!

Can you blame him.You lied to us last week and said NO WAY we lose to Beardon.Lets hope you are right this week

Not trying to argue Cats, just for discussion.  question:  you thought we had superior talent on the field last friday?  (I'm talking about on the field, not on the roster) If you honestly believe that, then you and I watched two different football games.  Their front seven were huge and experienced.  Our OL has 2 freshmen and a 3rd team tackle.  More talent on the field?  No way.

I sure hope you are right about Clinton, but seriously, it's a bad time for this matchup.  With our starting secondary on the sideline (yes all four of them) and those stud transfer receivers that Clinton has, not a good matchup for us right now.  Unfortunately there is additional attrition to our OL this week.  It's not good.  I think we can win, but it's gonna be tough.

I remember good defensive adjustments.I remember a couple of great plays calls that should've been TDs if  executed.Considering it's a new staff, still implementing a whole new system, I think we are ahead of schedule. Not to mention we are having to adjust for key injuries every week.I don't know how anyone could not be super excited for the improvements we have made from last year already.

Hey 92, I heard your coach had decals made of himself to put on the youth league helmets.  Now, I didn't make that up, I swear.  Could that actually be true?  Say it ain't so!

I heard the same thing.I didn't believe it at first but supposedly it's true.Lol I gotta see a pic if anybody finds one.

Did you see what Campbell county’s QB did as a sophomore?? Trust me Oak ridge has the worst QB in the region maybe the state

Without his 2 best weapons that QB in his 2nd start lead his team all the way down field in little over minute. Then made a great play to win the game that a FR WR almost caught.

Well this was one of my upsets in Barney's Favorites last night.  Don't like to be made a fool out of, what happened to the team team that is much more superior, did everyone go to Big Ed's and eat to much pizza before the game. I need some answers.

Not having Heyward and losing Rogers in 2nd qtr was huge.We have a really inexperienced QB that needs those 2 bad.Not to mention coaches son which means your missing your top 3 WRs and CBs.The QB is getting better every rep but vs really good defense was a lot to ask.Big props to our freshman WR that was playing hard. Also Izzy coming in at CB playing hard. Even though it was a loss it felt like a lot of great things are happening for future

Yeah, and from listening to Cummings Rodgers may be out a good while too, with a shoulder injury. Hopefully it’s not as bad it sounds. We are really banged up, and it’s only the 2nd game of the year. Geez. 7 starters down now, I think.

With that said, I was impressed with Bearden’s D, and the physicality of the team as a whole. I remember looking at their score with West last week and it was 17-7 late in the game. I couldn’t believe they were playing West so close, but now I know why, that’s a strong defense that’s gonna give a lot of teams issues this season. Credit to them. I’m super proud of our fight, especially with all the injuries we have right now. Close games like this against stiff competition always pays off in the long run.

Yes for sure.I was surprised with all the guys out how we kept coming at them.I thought DC made some good adjustments. We had couple of great play calls that we couldn't convert. That dropped pic and near pic next play on Beardons 1st TD drive killed us.Our Oline and few on Dline was gassed.Still new guys stepped up and almost pulled it out.No doubt we will benefit from all the reps backups are getting. But dang that many injuries to key players is awful

  7. I am super proud of this wildcat team. They kept fighting and got better the whole game. I have no doubt with time we're going to make some noise with this coaching staff in the years to come and by end of year. We must get healthy way too much talent on the sideline

This is exactly what happened.  Total BS.  Anybody familiar with Knox area football will recognize the ref that threw the flag from 20 yards away.  13 lined up on the outside of the extra point formation was yanked to the ground by his helmet that got ripped off.     His teammate walked him out to the 20 yard line, he picked up his helmet and walked off the field and the flag came came down from 20 yards away.  C'mon man.

I agree with you 100%.Lets hope they do the right thing for the kids sake and let him play

I am sure the suspension will be appealed to the TSSAA, but I doubt they will reverse it. I thought there were a lot of strange nickel dime calls in this game. Seems like flags flew from everywhere. Looked like a used car lot.

Sure did. They should do the right thing and let him play.

Hey SS which one of our kids got tossed tonite? And will they have to hold him out next week?

It was another BS call. But it was Heyward. He got his helmet ripped off during play and he is walking back to sideline upset talking to his teammate when the ref threw a flag from 25 yds away.It was his 2nd unsportsmanlike. The 1st one also looked to be a phantom call.I didn't see him do anything at all

We couldn’t run the ball AT ALL last year, no matter the opponent. It’s like night and day. It’s unreal how bad the coaching had gotten.

You are right.I remember not being able to push Lenoir City around and knew we was in trouble. The Dline full of new players looked great

So let me get this straight. Coach Miner now the HC, Coach Wyatt the OC plus countless other very good former OR staff on the football coaching staff....now toss in Principal Adams leaving and now Coach Mullins the AD.

    What's going at OR?

Sounds like Oak Ridge has upgraded at all those positions besides maybe principal. And that looks to be just someone moving up the ladder. So to me I think what is going on is Oak Ridge is getting better.Hopefully Minor is successful at HV and will be back at Oak Ridge after Cummings

Yep think it's his to lose. The others look pretty good also. Each has his plusses and minuses, though. Learning for the future.

And it looks like Tarwater has found a home as QB at Karns, glad for him.

We looked pretty good but also know  Murvil was going  all out. IT was just a scrimmage.lol

Yes nothing like a real game. But way better than past scrimmages vs them.I love our new staff and think the program as a whole  will only get better.

I think I met OR cat along  the track at McMinn County and I believe Nole 3 was up in the stands at the time. Pretty dang hard to be in two places at one time.

Could it be YB is ShagNasty.

Have I posted that Jacob Berven has signed with the Maryville Scots ?

You are right Willie.YB is a big dragon but understandably don't claim them all the time.By the way I was at the event yesterday and thought things went good.Great crowd for a practice and seen plenty of guys that can be great players this fall.Loved the energy from our coaches. It was good to hear many different parents talking about how much they like the new staff.I also noticed a lot of people left before they ran some 11 on 11 .Whoever QB 14 was led them right down the field and looked good.Threw a beautiful corner fade for a TD to complete the drive. We have a lot to work to do getting things right on the lines but I believe we will and have a nice year.It was good to watch some football and be at the ship

Sounds like a stud RB may be hitting the transfer portal as his father calls it.  Ol man grandpa tube socks gaddis already texting around trying to see if they are going to other schools...smh

Its sad that ol grandpa moth balls gaddis has to reach out to other coaches to see if his own athletes in his athletic department are leaving...

So your big plan is to throw crap out there about Oak Ridge and hope some people start to believe it? You want people to think Cummings is not doing a good job and having problems. If he wasn't a good coach you wouldn't be investing so much time into trying to bring him down.I just can't imagine being apart of such a laughing stock program but spending my time worried about anything else. You have a culture that is years of losing and beat downs to fix but continue to be infatuated with what SC is doing at Oak Ridge. You and military man need to quit worrying anybody else but Clinton. The purple pounders are coming to Clinton this yr and I wouldn't want y'all to choke on that cupcake again.Eat all your cupcakes and then you might be allowed to speak on a real program and be taken seriously.

  16. It's great to see Clinton fans excited about sports.I know it must be hard after all these years and no state championships for any sport in the school history.Do we have any gamblers on the T?If I gave you this 3 pick parlay for Clinton this year what would your pick be? Over/under 3.5 on Clinton cupcake wins,Clinton players tazed after game, really dumb things military man will say during season

Congratulations to Clinton on a well deserved victory. I thought Green got a little out coached there in the final seconds, but hey, it is what it is. Just gotta give credit where it’s due sometime. The win streak eventually had to come to an end. I can deal with 1 loss every 12 years.

Got to give credit to clock operator and ref.Go back and watch replay and see how much time was left when Clinton called timeout after the Kel shot. The refs let Lockard talk them in to putting more time on clock.Thier is no replay to look at so where did they get that time from. You better be up double digits in game like that on road or crazy things happen.Im bias but I thought Green out coached Lockard big time.No way with all those returning players for Clinton and 2 Oak Ridge players that the game should've been close.Im proud of our boys but just hate to give them one

This OR team has depth, that first one didn't. Lot of shooters, play hard as heck on defense and OR outrebounded the heck out of McMinn last night.

Might end up being a great team after everyone gets healthy and experienced.

No true big man worries me but no doubt they go hard. One thing for sure is Aaron will get the most out of them. There will be ups and downs but should be fun to see how they progress.
