It’s more than a rumor that with the current administration Columbia Central is a complete **** Show. Someone that wants to become a head coach will take the job but absolutely no one that has a history of winning state championships will go within 20 miles of Columbia Central.

Correct, heard its a mess over der

Having been to all of these, I think its about right. DB did a nice job modernizing J. Fred, although I agree with some that the baseball stadium should have been moved to be by itself. The visitors side at DB does leave a little to be desired as well as their visitors locker room!

Blankenship Field in Oak Ridge has the best setting, after a slow start, modernization has begun, now it may have one of the best visitors sides in the state, the home side still needs upgrading, new bleachers and press box with good sized locker rooms, A good plan would be to build a visitors locker room on the visitors side.

I saw a game at Lincoln County back in the 90s so I am not sure how much it has changed since, I liked the down in the bowl setting, unfortunately, Lincoln County football is nowhere near what it was in the 90s.

I have been to Sevier County many times and they have done a really nice job there. Very good high home side, although the press box might have been a little bigger, when we filmed there, we had to sit in front of the press box in the bleachers and contend with people standing and walking in front of us. Dollys House!!

I have only been to Baylor a couple of times in the 70s and 80s, but I remember it was a very nice field. You had to know where you were going to find it,

Maryville has done a nice job with their stadium, parking is a little tough there, but the success of their program shows there,

Other places I have been that I liked were: The Stone Castle (Bristol Tn), and Bradley County,

I think OR has plans to renovate the home side, I saw some renderings online and it will look amazing once complete. Once complete I would put OR over DB. Check this link out. http://blankenshiplegacy.org/

I wasn't directing that post at you directly, just in general. Good probability . At heart I am a true Blue Blaze fan, but the core I support all these kids in RuCo. and will continue to do so. I believe the most important thing you can do for the youth in your area is simply show up, They may never know your name , but to look in the bleachers and know that their effort matters, be it Football. baseball, soccer track, ROTC or underwater basket weaving I think it matters....

Underwater basket weaving? You go through BUDS Blaze45?

So is this job a rebuild or is it a job that has culture established and just needs the right staff to take it to the next level?  Can this program get to a region championship and deep run in the playoffs in a 3 year span?  Out of the 3-4 coaches mentioned....(current coach on staff, Woods, Stewart, Crouch) who is the best fit for that school?  Thoughts????

I doubt any of the 3 mentioned would take this job. It is a good job because of location and moving down to 5A. But centennial has the worst facilities in WillCo, mainly because of when it was built. The old schools (franklin, brentwood, page) have nice stuff because it was built before the massive williamson county red tape brigade moved in. And the new schools have nice-ish stuff because they are new. Centennial was built in the early 2000s so its pretty dated and you'll be stuck with those dated facilities. There isnt any available land to build a field house or upgrade facilities and the county won't let you do it even if you could financially swing it. It would be a good job in terms of talent and classification but thats about it.
