#4 was from Jefferson County and it was 9-5 and Jeff County also pinned their 220.

That’s correct Cleveland had the three forfeits at 145 and the one loss at 220. The 182 lb from TX looked good coming out of the gates.

Yes and 45/52.  Actually now that I think about it.. let me edit this.. they may have him weigh in at 47.2 so he can go 52/60 for the dual team so I’m not sure.

Did you ever hear what weight he was going at this weekend?  Doesn't Laxton usually go 52?

the same way you would rank them or seed an invitational. Cleveland 1 and Wilson 2 based on last year and being region champs, then the other 6 just rank them 3-8. base it on head to head, significant wins and losses, strength of schedule, record, etc. just have a seeding meeting like we do for individual tournaments.

Personally if i were to seed it, it would look something like this..

    1 Cleveland vs 8 Collierville

4 Summit vs 5 Science Hill

    3 Bradley vs 6 Dobyns

    2 Wilson vs 7 Oakland

When are the brackets expected to be out?

There is no way they allow the general public in for the duals. The gyms are not big enough to hold that kind of crowd. I think they give each school a certain number of tickets and that’s it. Nothing will be sold at the door I imagine.

That would be sad if Lee changed it too late to allow fans.

Heritage had a couple of kids hit for contact tracing, as well as our senior night originally scheduled for last night, and in all honesty it was more important for us to be able to recognize our seniors then drive all the way down to Cleveland just to win one or two matches if that.

It's a hard year, and I feel bad for the kids that are seniors this year.  So many teams are missing state with them cutting the number of teams and on top of that any team no matter how good is just back luck away from getting hit with this crap.

I feel for these coaches  imagine one of your star wrestlers family or friend test positive  what do you do  sit a kid for state  or risk a lawsuit latter to you and your school administration for not quaranteening a kid    all the more reason to put a pause on for a few weeks so we keep all our kids eligible especially in the chattanooga area where this seems to be on fire right now

Cleveland City and Bradley county thank goodness the numbers have really come down as of late. Our schools had spiked and gone in the red basically from after thanksgiving up until a couple weeks ago but our school system is back in the yellow now and operating in person 5 days a week now.

I think it’s safe to say the coach will be around awhile. Being able to pull that sort of talent in after just one season says a lot about him. Why would he bail for something else?

Always something bigger and better, no matter where you are. Better coaching gig in another area of the country, better prep school, college gig.

My understanding it that Cody Chittum will be wrestling for Cleveland this year and will not be back at Blair Academy for this year.

I had not heard anything about that happening?
