Hey Guys! I found this really cool event taking place next month in Chattanooga called “The Academy” hosted by 720 Sports Group. It is a “two-day, back to the basics, X's and O's intensive academy teaching specific offenses and defenses.” They’re bringing in 9 NCAA D1 and D2 Head Coaches and a former NBA Asst. Coach. I ageee, D2 AA should have more teams. It’s currently at 12 teams, next year I believe it will be at 14. It’s just a matter of who wants to come up and play them.

It would be great to have a single D2 class, but it would not work out well. There s a huge gap in the talent level of the two. It’s not fair for a school with 700 or 800 boys to play a school with only 150 that’s coed. Also, McCallie and Chatt. Christian were both Quarterfinalists for their Classes last year. McCallie led them by 50 at the end of the 3rd quarter. It wouldn’t be fair if they played. Do you think it’d be fair if 2A combined with 1A?

No, I believe you are thinking about D1 AA, I am referring to D2 AA which is home to teams like BA, Ensworth, MBA, McCallie and Baylor.

Who do y’all think will take it this year?
