1. did you think at all before you began typing this? i have two issues of concern. first, your wild comparisons. cody is a phenomenal talent, but i saw todd helton in high school and frankly thats just not fair to either player. todd hit .725 his senior year, and hopefully cody can match him. the second issue is your willingness to open the family yearbook in a public forum like coach t. there is a 2 year rule on athletic accomplishments and you have violated it twice already that i've seen. alright man, i'm finished with you. lets make sure not to use any more bonds or helton comparisons okay? best of luck.

Oh well, Im sorry that we cant all be perfect and know every single rule. Anyways, I wasnt taking anything away from Todd, I saw him play when I was little and hes a phenominal athlete. And with the World Series thing, I was bragging on me personally, I was just saying that Bower hasnt always been as bad as it is now. Im glad you finally realized that this wasnt meant to be personal. I dont know who you are or where you play, but the best of luck to you and your team next year.

  2. hey kabbie,

hopefully you are pursuing a management degree, because i couldnt help but wonder if the mc you are attending is in fact a precursor to the mc you will work for as head fry chef. as for the d-1 signee you had your "2-4" game off of, i missed the name of that guy. you havent hesitated to drop names yet, and no, a basketball player who signed d-1 from austin-east does not count towards official baseball stats. best of luck at mc ;). oh and p.s., nobody cares about how far you hit a ball in a summer league game. i've seen summer league teams from your neck of the woods and well, bower field ain't exactly wrigley. oh, and those of us who know ryan holland and all the other d-1 prospects at south-doyle, could send you about 500 other showcase invitations to read, if you'd like. the cherokees ride again!!! state champs in '07. newsflash: i think each of cody hawn's bombs off of you guys may have gone further than the "miracle at heritage" you were so proud of.

It was no miracle you ######, and no it wasnt an AE basketball player either. The reason that no names have been dropped is because they werent from TN, and I dont remember. Haha, Bower Field used to have good teams when I was younger. When I was 11, my DRAFT LEAGUE team went to the USSSA World Series in Baton Rouge and finished 5th out of 65 OPEN LEAGUE teams. So go back through the years before a bunch of jokes ran Bower before you open your mouth. Oh, Cody and I happen to be good friends and I have to say that hes the best hitter Ive ever seen in East TN, including Todd Helton. Hes only a junior and already has a Barry Bonds type reputation (minus the steriods) so that must say something about him. Plus Cody is much stronger than I am (weighing all of 160 lbs). This whole ordeal was meant to not be about me, it was about AC mr. homerun!!!

  3. Hold up, how you talkin bout AC's field when your field is a cracker jack box. It says its like 304 in right center but its actually like 280. Why dont yall just play on the softball field, its bout the same distance. oh and good 1 on the barn thing, i didnt see anything like that at yalls field. and last...'classless people'? we arent the ones coming on here talkin about us not deserving to be at state, which we represented ourselves well, if yall were there, u would have had a quick stay with a 2 and out like u thought we would, but thats right, u didnt get there, u couldnt beat us

Good one Mr. Peanut. How do you know the demensions of the Dirty D? In one of my classes, we had to measure the distances, granted they were a little off but not 20 ft. off. Its not our fault yall play in a miniature polo grounds. i actually commended you all on you run at state so dont say anything about that.

  4. Haha speaking of cow pastures, it looks like AC is currently buliding a barn right beside their field...and u obviously havent been 2 seymour b/c our playin surface was alot better than ACs. Also, i dont think it gets any worse than good ole anderson county, as far as being "rednecks" u have some pretty classless people up there. Sevier County is a joke....and if u do play for them...im very sorry. Dont know much about Lenior City, but they beat Heritage and we spanked Heritage...so put 2 and 2 together and u'll figure it out.

Well, all this is true. Sevier County can kick our butts at football and basketball, but when it comes to baseball, they just plain stink.

  5. Your tellin me...I know that the head coach at Clinton back then would get threatening phone calls from AC people the week that we would play them...haha

Haha yeah, I know what you mean, its the same way for Seymour when they play the teams from Sevier County. Seymour and Gatlinburg-Pittman can no longer play each other in baseball because of a fight during my freshman year I think it was, and now they stopped playing each other in all sports not just baseball. Oh the memories of bitter Sevier Co. rivalries.

  6. Well he is a fact that I am stating....I am 1.000 lifetime off of Ryan Holland which is a better average than your 5-8...does anyone bow down to my feet...NO!!! Byrge must be at least a little better than you because he was able to help lead his team to the state and make a little noise...I must say though the AC people are much better at sportsmanship than Seymour from looking at some of the comments from you and a couple other of your followers...(NOT ALL) i might add...and I say this and I used to go to Clinton and everyone from AC knows how much AC and Clinton do not get along.

Look, I said nothing about Holland, Ive never faced him but would like to someday. He's good too. Nobody bows at my feet either, not even the other people in my graduating class that didnt continue their baseball career at the collegiate level, or even the ones that I had the privelidge of playin with, and I dont expect anyone to. Just because a player can "make some noise" doesnt make him a better player than anyone else. I already said that Im not taking anything away from Byrge or AC, they made the plays and won when the needed to, and thats what it takes to get to state. CONGRATS to AC. Also, this was meant to be nothing personal and I would appreciate it if you would stop attacking me personally. Im not being a bad sport to any extent, am I disappointed that my senior season didnt lead me to the state, of course, but Im not taking anything away from those who did, I was simply stating something that appeared to be a factor to me. Once again, CONGRATS to AC on making it to state and putting up a good fight.

Also, I know all about the AC Clinton rivalry and hatred, I played summer ball with some people that went to both schools.

  7. Well he is a fact that I am stating....I am 1.000 lifetime off of Ryan Holland which is a better average than your 5-8...does anyone bow down to my feet...NO!!! I didnt say anything about Ryan Holland...I have never faced him, but would like to. And nobody bows down to my feet either so I dont know where you got that idea. Just because you "make a little noise" doesnt always mean that you are a better player than someone else. Like I said, Im not taking anything away from Byrge or AC, they won when they needed to and thats what it takes to make it to the state. I also know how much AC and Clinton hate each other because I played summer ball with people from both schools. This isnt about me personally, I was just stating that AC didnt seem very deep in their pitching staff, so stop making this personal. Like I said, CONGRATS to AC on making it and putting up a fight.

  8. Congrats Admirals!

Everyone on here has hit the nail on the head saying that you all weren't as good this year as in past years, and coming from an area where "good" talent is scarce, I agree with Rob in saying that heart is what wins it. Thats what helped us (Seymour) my junior year get to state even though we were choke artists when we got there. I will also agree that Farragut more than likely has the best program in this part of the the state if not in the entire state. They know how to win when it counts. I saw them beat a pretty good South Doyle team twice in the district tourney this year, one of which Rob threw. At first, I thought, "Well, Catapano isnt all hes cracked up to be." But now I agree that hes a definite Div. 1 signee and a good one. Yes, I do know that I could hit him, but hes good. Congrats Rob and good luck in college ball.

  9. Oh lord...Maryville College thats pretty impressive...AC went to state because they were good...We played them in the Sportsbelle this year and they were good...sure we made plenty of mistakes but good teams take advantage of them like they did...i believe that they were at state and you were at home...I went to a pitching combine with Byrge and we were the hardest two throwing people there so unless you are better than he is i wouldn't talk very much...and judging by the looks of it you went to MC so i doubt you are near as good as he is...I hope you enjoyed your time at home while AC was representing the East in the Spring Fling.

Okay, the whole MC thing, I didnt go to play baseball, I went for my education and baseball was just a plus. I could have went to Carson-Newman or just about and Div. II school I wanted to, but unlike some of you, I realize that baseball isnt where Im going to make my living and thats why I chose MC. Also, Im not a pitcher but throwing hard isnt all that matters, as you saw when Byrge got run off the mound at the SPRING FLING. Im not taking anything away from the fact that they went to state, congrats to them, all I was saying is that they werent very deep in their pitching staff. And as far as my athletic abilities go, I have hit off better pitching than Byrge could ever think about giving me and hit very well might I add, the stats were 3-4 against a D. I signee and 2-4 off another D.I prospect, both of who threw much harder than Byrge. Yes, Byrge is good and Im not trying to start a word war or anything on here, I was just simply stating a fact. So before you get all tied in knots, just sit back and think about the facts that have been stated.

  10. Hey GeeCab Driver10 I believe u got absolutely stomped by Loudon and ol JT and then got obliterated by P.F. on ur way to new job at the local convienence store. Keep runnin ur mouth bout hittin a 255 ft homerun. U aint done nothin and aint been nowhere. Keep coming to the park and watchin AC win with freshman pitchers(were u there) at AC. U talk like u know somthin about winning and u dont . Read this when u get through with ur midnight shift at the local Quick Stop Store.

Look, I dont know who you are or where youre from, but I can almost guarantee that Im better than you. So stop runnin your mouth about stuff you know nothing about because obviously you werent there to know now were you? And plus I did get an academic scholarship with a baseball addition to Maryville College, and where did/are you going? Probably not anywhere. Plus ######, all homers look the same in the book and we stomped AC that game so stop runnin your weiner washer about it. So if you think you are better than me put your money where your mouth is. And if you wanna know the truth, ask my boys from Seymour, they know the truth. Actually speakin of that homer, I hit one of the farthest balls Heritage has seen in a summer league game last year against better pitchin than I ever saw in high school, and I got invited to 4 showcases last year. So put that in your pipe and smoke it. And I do know about winning because when I was at Seymour, we tied a school record in wins my junior year and came close my senior year. Also, I dont work a midnight shift anywhere, you must be gettin me confused with your mom and girlfriend, if you have one.

  11. one more loss and yall are done..i wish i was there to see the eye black smear off ur eyes while u cry ur eyes out or throw ur straight billed hats to the ground after u lose out .. i knew this would happen...you all have no depth in ur pitching..all u rely on is byrge..he may win 1 game down there for yall but after that u all aint got nothin...so..way to go 2day guys on putting up a fight in ur first game in the 'boro cyall back home here in about a day or so

Hey, I hate to say it but shsbsbll33 is right, they have no pitching depth this year. They were a better team last year, but ran into a Seymour team that ripped them a new one, me being part of that team and goin 4-4 w a homer off of Byrge. Yes, they are good when Byrge is on the hill, but hes not invincible and will or have already found that out at the tourney. Those teams are better than most around here, obviously you all havent been there and done that like I have. Just look at the teams that have been in the championship, they had depth in their pen and rotation whether or not they had a hard thrower or not. So before you all open your mouth, get to state or do your research before you make yourself look like an idiot as many of you have done in this thread.

  12. Hey boys, its tourney time. alcoa06, ur just mad bc we beat yall and then yall got beat by fulton like my boy said. You would think that what happened after the last time we met that you wouldnt be talking trash. Dont think that youre slick bc we know who you are and last time we played yall i know i was 3-4. So save the mouthing till after the tourney. Dont get so riled up bc you know whats gonna happen. Good luck to everybody and WE WILL BE READY. ya heard that.

  14. Nobody's mentioned Bearden's Brett Basham yet, so I will.  He's an Ole Miss signee.

    825609979

hes got a cannon but i struck him out on 2 fastballs, a change, and got him lookin on a hangin duece, a pitch he shoulda killed

  15. You're kidding right? There were bumps that were close to being potholes on it the last time I was there. Anderson Co.'s isn't close to the best either. Farragut has it hands down.

    825606734

Dude, are u kiddin, obviously u havent been up here in a while. Granted we had a rough field last season only bc we had new football field bleachers put in, so a lot of equipment was on the field, and also we had to put in new wires to the scoreboard

  16. Great! But I've seen them all play and take BP. I'll agree with Kyle and Bass. But the other two need a little work to be the hardest hitters! Nice try kid!  thumb

    825609667

dude obviously u dont understand, BP dont mean ne thing when it comes to a game. wherever u go to school i hope that we play u so we can show u what we got. Yea Kyle absolutely crushes the ball, we were playin Central the other day and he hit one out in like a 20 mph wind blowin in from center. So jus remember U HANG EM, WE BANG EM.

  17. shsbsbll33, dude you better worry about the district and region first. what makes you think that the district will be a pushover?  on april 4th and 5th its going down baby.  my lone focus is getting ready for which ever one of those games i pitch.  i hope you guys keep on overlooking us so when we beat yall it will be even more of a sweet victory.

    825616281

hey man, yall aint got nothin on us. ya know why, its bc weve got theultimate pitchin staff, speed, and most of all big sticks so whoever u think u are u better bring ur best bc i know that if yall even pitch to koeneman hes gonna go yard maybe even twice.

  18. Stephen Gardener makes his debut as a Seymour Eagle on opening day March 14th at Don Doyle Field. He comes from a promising family baseball history from Jacksonville, Florida. His dad Jim Gardener retired from the Chicago Cubs in 1994. As a Freshman in Florida,  Stephen led the team with an amazing .459 average. With 12 homeruns,53 RBI's,33 stolen bases, with a 1.85 throwdown to 2nd base. He threw out 25 of 29 runners in 2004. ON VARSITY !!! Watch Out For This Young Promising Prospect!!

    825594079

It oughta be a great day on the "Dirty D" for Gardener. Especially if he shows his stuff at and behind the plate.
